My third baby is off to school! My husband and I took her to school and she went right in and never looked back. I stood there thinking...not even a tear or a wave.
Sweet poem given to me ...
Whose Child is this?, I asked one day.
Seeing a little one out at play.
"MINE" said the parent with a tender smile.
"Mine to keep for a while"
To Bathe her hands and comb her hair..to tell her what to wear.
To prepare her that she may always be good and each day do the things she should.
"Whose child is this" I asked again.
As the door opened and someone came in.
"Mine" said the teacher with same tender smile "Mine to keep for a little while."
To teach her how to be gentle and kind,
To train and direct her dear little mind.
To help her live by every rule,
And get the best she can from school.
"Whose child is this?" I asked once more.
Just as the little one entered the door...
"Ours" said the parent and the teacher as they smiled,
And each took a hand of the little child.
"Ours to love and train together,
This is our blessed task forever"

Did you change your mind about homeschooling?
I do understand that and it's great that your children have a good school to attend! I pray that your year (and theirs!) goes really well!

What a little beauty you have! You have done an excellent job giving her security and teaching her independence---that's why you didn't see a tear or a wave. You're a very good mommy!
I love your tassel. You did an excellent job on your first try! Have you seen Susie Harris tassels? Hers are beautiful.
Aw, that just shows how well loved and confident you have made her. :-)
