I am not Taking a Bath with Dora!

This simple redo all started at the soccer field. One of my son's coach told the boys to go home and take a hot bath and soak those muscles. I overheard my son say that he was not taking a bath with all that Dora and barbie stuff.

Ahhh...my poor son has become just a "visitor" in his own bathroom with just his toothbrush. My girls have taken it over. Not with hairspray, curling irons and makeup but with wet Barbies, dora "heads", polly pockets and squirty "princesses". Plus it has the same decor..."DUCKY" that I did when he was born...so it was time for a change!!!

I did this very cheaply and was inspired by Besty (go check this lady out!). She did a fun thing with her shower curtain in her bathroom ,too. I used what I had and bought three rolls of different ribbon, one wicker basket, a few towels and went to work.

Here are the BEFORE pictures:

With just ribbon and a glue gun I took frames I had(they were on the back of the toilet and fell everytime someone slammed the "lid")...glued on ribbon and hung...

Bought a very inexpensive shower curtain and towels .... tied on "fun" ribbon...

Retired the duck and bought a 3-section wicker basket...I wasn't crazy about toothbrushes touching...

Glue ribbon on a cup holder....changed the rugs around...and look what we have.....

What do you do with Ribbon??? I love it...I would tie it on my oven handle if I could!!!

It is darling! I use ribbon for everything! I sew it on solid towels to coordinate with the bathroom decor. I have used it around the tail of a skirt to change it up a bit, sewn it over the waistband also, made ribbon belts by the dozens for PD and BDiL, decorated purses, frames, etc. I could go on and on. I love how you used it on the shower curtain! One of the cutest ideas yet.

Pretty neat! I loved all of it, but the ribbon on the frames is my favorite! I don't use ribbon too much, but when I do...it's with my scrapbooking.

Have a great night!

I don't use ribbons, but I think I am going to try after seeing this...Oh. I did use one ribbon-in my dog's hair that flops in her face. She ate it, and thew up...so I just cut it, and gave the ribbon to my neighbor for her girl's hair!

Betsy is one of my real-life, not blogland friends. She inspires me everyday with her creativity and energy. You should see the rest of her house, it is beautiful! She is a wonderful friend to boot! Your bathroom looks great! I would like to see a close up picture of what the sign says that the pictures are hanging from.

Good for you...it's awesome! I need to get to my kids bathroom. It's still decorated in the cute little blue bus/car/train/boat theme that every little boy loves. Problem is that my oldest in now in high school..yep, I am behind, but they have never even complained once. :)

What a great re-do! Looks totally different, and you only had to change a few things!! Great job -- I especially like the beachy pics of your kids! I use ribbons in my girls hair all the time!

So so cute! I love it...great job! I bet the kiddos love it too! I totally agree about ribbon. I tie it everywhere I can get away with it. DH and little man don't like it much, so I have to be careful not to over-do it. At least my dog is a girl...she loves ribbon too...not really...I just said that. After she gets groomed, I like to tie a seasonal type ribbon around her neck...I'm pretty sure she hates me for this.

Hope you're having a great day!

LOVE that, friend! It looks darling and pretty easy to do, yes? If so, I think I might be able to tackle something like that. Great job!

What a difference!

Ribbon is a girl's best friend (assuming that she can't afford to tie diamonds on everything).
Love it!!
