Cooking Dinner With My Camera

I may be blogging too much because....

*I take pictures of my food while I cook thinking "This could be a good post one day"! My husband was making breakfast on Saturday and asked if I wanted to take a picture of him (he was being a "stinker"!)

*Also, I am at my kids school volunteering and taking pictures. My daughter tells the teacher I am taking pictures for my blog (I wasn't)!

*I wake up at 3am with a great idea for a New Post!

*I am at the grocery store and writing a check....I almost signed it "Sandy Toes"

*I am at the craft store and see a lady and think..."Is that "Sue" from "www.blog.com"????

*In the morning, my daughter would wake up and come to my bedroom...she now comes right downstairs to the computer area.

But, my EXCUSE for all this picture taking, clicking the mouse, changing "backgrounds" and writing "comments" is that.....

A Big thank you goes out to a wonderful blogger "Montee Is A Palmetto Girl" for giving me this award...it is also so pretty! This blogger has such a wonderful southern touch (I want the pineapple rug on her blog). As I read her postings, I can almost hear her southern voice....of course, that is easy for me b/c my husband is southern and I hear it every day. Her blog is so delightful....check out this southern gal!

The rules of the "Kreative" award is ...6 interesting facts about me and pass this award to six bloggers....so here we go!

#1 I cannot leave my house UNLESS all the beds are made!I just CAN'T do it!

#2 When I was dating my husband, I lived alone in an apartment and didn't have a Christmas tree. My husband mailed me a Christmas tree(full size)...fully decorated with lights and ornaments!

#3 I got engaged at the top of the stairs of Lincoln Memorial in DC.

#4 I will not touch raw meat!

#5 Brighton jewerly is my favorite!

#6 When I do the laundry, I still take out "pinkish" socks and underwear that use to be white!

I pass this beautiful award to....I love to read all your "Kreativ" words!

You are so funny talking about blogging too much. My favorite was when you said you almost signed Sandy Toes on your check - LOL! That was such a sweet and romantic thing for your husband to mail you a decorated tree and I also love Brighton stuff!

You had me rolling. That was so fun. I loved all your blog logic. People call me crazylady all the time. It's okay.

Oh my goodness.

I could so relate to the blogging. Too funny!

This blog was adorable!!! I loved it and it made me laugh...I keep a notebook of "idea" topics for my blogs. I have two and constantly write phrases and little stories down thinking that they'll make great posts later...hahaha! I could totally relate!

LOL - I have thoughts of blogging at the weirdest times too. The kids ask if I'm taking a photo to put on my "website" too often.

Mailing a tree? A full sized tree? We mailed DH a two foot tree to Iraq last year, but a full size tree? Egads.

First of all, thank you so much for the award. I am very honored.

My children say the same kinds of things as well when I pull out the camera. I think it's pretty fun now. I love all the other things you said too about why you think you may be blogging too much. I do that waking up in the middle of the night thing too:)

Your little chalkboard for your library books is so cute and fun!

Have a great Tuesday and thanks again for the award!

Great list! I am the same with you about having to make the beds. I cannot get back into an unmade bed and have a good night's sleep. Your husband is so romantic.

Congratulations on your award! And thank you so much for thinking of me! I am so touched! :)

I was cracking up about your list of reasons you may be blogging too much! I SO relate! My kids are always asking/telling me I'm taking pictures for my blog, even when I'm not! :)

I love that your husband once sent you a tree complete with ornaments! WOW!

Have a wonderful day, and thanks again for the award. It's made my day! :)

I know what you mean! I have to remind myself that blogging is for fun and that I don't need to treat it like a job, as if you all are going to fire me if I don't have a post up every day! :) But it is addicting and so much better than sitting on the couch eating potato chips! Congrats on your award!

Congrats on your award! Don't feel bad for keeping your camera while cooking. Mine stays in the kitch nowawdays. I won't post a recipe without a pic and my husband always asks if I took a pic before he digs in :)

Congrats on the award!
I think I blog too much too. I can remember to take pictures of my projects, but forget to take pictures of my kids. Sad but true!

As for your table...If the paint that's on it is original, there's a chance that it's an oil based paint. All that means is that you will want to use a good primer before you paint. But first clean the piece and give it a light sanding or use the sanding liquid so the primer and paint will adhere. I would use a gray primer so that you have a darker undercoat. You can use either kind of paint. Spray paint may cost more depending on how many cans it takes, but it does cure faster and to a harder finish. If you choose to brush on the paint, you may want to use a product like Flo-trol which thins the paint so it goes on smoother and doesn't show brush or roller marks.
When I spray paint a piece I don't give it a top coat. If I use brush on paint, I put a poly to protect it or I rub on a wax that's made to put on painted pieces.
Just remember to let the paint cure before you put anything on top of it so it doesn't stick to, or pull the paint.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Happy painting!

Wow...a whole Christmas tree decorated! I think that's the most romantic thing I've ever heard! What a keeper! I'm laughing at your blogging comments...it's soooo true. Although up till now I've refrained from taking pictures of my food in a restaurant...but I'm sure it won't be long!

That's so funny! My hubby love to tease me about all the pics I now take, too. I even have a special pic file named *blog fodder*. It's so addictive though, isn't it?

HA, you made me laugh. All of those things about blogging ... so me.

My son tells everyone that I keep a notepad and pen next to me at all times ... in bed, in the car etc b/c I never know when I'll get a bloggy idea LOL. I just need to remember to put one near the shower b/c all of my best ideas happen in there for some reason.

I'm addicted to Brighton bags.

Oh Sandy, you must think I'm such an idiot! I didn't even see this last night! It was after midnight, so I guess my brain just wasn't functioning properly! Well, congratulations to you and THANK YOU soooooo much! I'm so flattered! What a cute award too, love the colors. I love your list... Any man that would mail you a Christmas tree and propose at the top of the Lincoln memorial is a keeper! And I love Brighton too! Thanks again!
