Today, the kids and I are off on a long weekend trip to visit grandparents. My son is going fly fishing with his Grandpa. We are heading to the "glove"...Michigan! It has not been my "home" for over fifteen years but my parents still live there. Oh...how I love to go back.
They live out in the country (well, I don't even know if they consider it country anymore)...it now has a sweet little downtown with great food and shoppes! My parents road is still "dirt"...I love turning down on their road. It is surrounded by a big state park with lakes and big mature trees that almost form a canopy that you drive under. They live on 10 acres of pure "woods"....when I open the van door my son just runs and runs breathing in the fresh "pine" air. I never appreciated it when I lived there but now I love it. Our trips are far and few between but when I am there..it feels
like "home".
So I am ending this week with some Autumn pictures of my outside. I tried not to include ones you have already seen....Have a pumpkin-filled, candy corn-eating, hayriding, fair-going weekend!
* This is a special hook for us who have all brick houses...they are wonderful and clip right on the brick...love them!!!!!
*** I couldn't resist!

Your house must be absolutely beautiful. The little snapshots you have shown us are so charming! I love your black front door and the wreath. Actually, I love everything! My grandmother's house is in the country and I loved it. The land got to be too much for her & Grandpa to handle so now they live in town. BUT m cousin bought the house so we still get to have family get togethers there which is so nice.
Loved the last picture!!! I think it was great! I'm 22 and I'm voting McCain and Palin all the way!! I care about morals...values...and well...(I won't get too far into this! hahaha)

Hi, ST!! I'm so glad you stopped by! First, your kids are adorable. Second, I love that brick clip! Third, I hope your long weekend has been/is wonderful.
I love the wreath!!!
Hope you had fun on your trip.
Love it all Miss Sandy Toes! The wreath is gorgeous and love the planter with fall stuff in it. I also love your furniture with the black and white cushions. YAY for the last picture!
Oh, I know exactly what you mean about going "home". My kids always tell me we are "home" when I talk about going "home". I don't get there enough living 800 miles away.
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful decor! I love the wreath! I bet you made it, huh?
I love your wreath on the door. That is beautiful! My brother is an expert "fly fisherman" he makes his own flies and all of his "stuff" reminds me of a scrapbooker! Your son is in for a treat!
Blessings
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. :)
I'm going to quote ya... "Enjoy a cup of cReAm and sugar with a little CoFfEe, smell of cLeAn laundry, having a fUlL refrigerator and late sUmMeR evenings watering mY flowers!" ...I could have written that myself! I love all of those things too. I used to have a bunch of roses... hurricane Katrina took them all... but I used to love to be outside with them in the evenings and early mornings. Love your blog! Blessings! :)
Loved the outdoor tour!!!
Where did you get your brick clip? I've been needing one or two or those. My husband would be happy if I didn't put any more nail holes into the mortar.
Please, Please, Please tell me where you got that brick hook!!! We have a huge brick retainer wall and I have wanted to decorate it for Christmas but my husband will not allow any drilling into the brick. Hope you are having a great time on your trip. Your decorations are great!!! Go McCain/Palin!!!
Hi Sandy Toes,
THanks for visiting my blog. Yours if very cute. I love the post for the library books and chalk board due date reminder. I needed that great idea.
You're so blessed your parents have such a great place. My parents had 6 acres with ponds, trees and a fire pit. Perfect place to grow up! They sold it and we all wish we still had it!
Have a wonderful week.
Lisa
I never care who copies what! I think that looks cute on yours-I can't figure out how to do the "cutest blog on the block". I am afraid of losing everything-you'll have to tell me how to do the facelift-I need one bad, but don't want to wreck it! (I found the corner thing on someone elses blog too!)
Have a great weekend. Love your political persuasion!
We just got back from Michigan! Your parent's place sounds like "home." Hope you have a great, relaxing visit!
Love your blog~ So glad that I have a new friend!

I agree with Nikki, I love the wreath but I think I love the sign more :) Hope you had a great trip to "the glove".
My grandmother lives there and we always called it a "mitten" when we were kids.
Love it all! You've done a great job with all the fall goodies.
Jo :)
PS ~ love the sign too!
