Have you already seen this on another blog? It seems to be everywhere...even at a Craft Fair I attended last week. Making coasters from tiles! I first saw it done on Between Here and Home blog. She made some very sweet coasters. I looked and looked for her "bee" stamp but couldn't find it! So I decided to copy her anyhow and make some of my own.
I then saw it on the Reluctant Entertainer blog..hers are just so cute! You need to check hers out, too! Its super easy...buy tiles from Lowes, your favorite stamp and ink, felt/rubber pads, ribbon and sealant spray. Whoila! Cute coasters!

I bought a cute stamp that says "Milk and Cookies for Santa"....I did the stamp green...so cute! Great Christmas gifts with a red and green ribbon tied in a bow! Great for teachers, school secretary, Sunday school teachers, mailmen...oh my ladies...it's endless!

Very cute! How much do tiles run at Lowes? And what are those clear things on the bottom? Where do you get them from?
I'm clueless.

Thought of you when I was talking to my family in MI last night. They are heading to our family home in Gaylord for Thanksgiving and then the men are going to our cottage in Tawas for their men's annual hunting trip.

Thanks for sharing these. I want to try it.
XO,

Yes, I have done this for gifts. I painted a Texas star on a set and on another set, I painted the boots I wore as a little girl. My friends love them.
Your coasters are gorgeous! A few years ago I got together with three friends and we all made some coaster sets like this. It was fun, and they make great gifts. Mug-sized boxes from Michael's are the perfect size for the 4-inch tiles we used for the project.
