Works For Me Wednesday-Baby Memories

Today, my "Works For Me" Wednesday is about framing your baby's keepsake. After each birth of my children, I would have a simple, soft cotton t-shirt monogrammed with the year they were born. I would have their newborn picture taken in it...all three slept right during the picture. Take it while they are still really sleepy...week after the birth:)!

After the picture, I frame the t-shirt in a "keepsake" frame (wide) with the picture at the bottom with a ribbon tied to it. It is very simple but I get so many compliments on them and my oldest is 9!! It's a "sweet" way to remember those first couple of weeks!

Oh Sandy Toes...where were you my friend when my kiddos were born to put this bug in my ear? I can still do it with a tiny shirt of their, but not the same 'oof' you get from this GREAT idea of yours!
Hope your week is going well hun!

That is a great idea. I too have had my baby's pic. within a week or two-and those are my favorite...I love the monogramed idea. I wonder if I can squeese them in one now while they sleep??? I am too late! Darn!

(Yes, the dog keeps growing! She is about 30 lbs. and we were told she would only be about 20! She is too big for my boys to walk her without her running away! Great! Another job for me!!!)
She is getting groomed today-she was a MESS from going up-north, and she could be looking really ugly in a few minutes...)

You should write a book about all the clever ideas and traditions that you have created. I mean it... they are fabulous! Or do a post one day on all of these so I can print it and keep it!! ;)

Where do you come up with all of your creativity?

I love how you take something that is special to you and turn it into a decorative item!

I am so glad to see how this works. I love the idea! Maybe a great way to celebrate my new one in a few months! I meant to come visit yesterday but had the hardest time with Mr. Linky over at Rocks in my Dryer. I never did link up to everyone else and the whole day just kind of flew away!
