A Box Under The Tree!

This is between you and me...can you keep a secret? I have been throwing little "hints"..okay and Big "hints" what I would like for Christmas. My husband is good with gifts..I may have to write it down or email it but he usually remembers. I have even received the little "blue" box so he is still romantic when he wants to be.

Yesterday, I walked past our "living room" where the tree is and there was a BOX tucked way under there! Oh my! A box...well, walked by it and it was for me. Later, walked by it again...got closer...picked it up. Later, when no one was home..just me and the "tree"....I really looked at it. However, I am the type of person who would open and then wrap it back up. BUT, I have a husband who can wrap better than the professionals. Through the years, I have told him he should do a seasonal wrapping job at Macy's b/c he would be employee of the month.

He grew up on the coast of N.C. . His parents owned a motel on the beach. His siblings and him would clean the rooms. So he can make the best "bed" ever...WELL, his wrapping is that good too! You can't even tell where the paper ends or begins! So I put the box down! Darn! It's killing me...just killing me!

Okay..I am so pathetic..I called the company of the "gift" I asked for to see how it is packaged. Well, that was no help...it can come in one box or two..AHH!

I guess I have to wait!

You are so funny! Gifts for me must be well hidden, because I will search for them. And I have been known to unwrap a present and rewrap it. I'm so bad!

Waay funny Sandy......and don't you open that box before Christmas. I am so curious now too though. It looks too big to be jewelry.....to small to be clothes. Keep us 'posted'.

that is so funny. I used to be the type to open gifts and wrap them back up but now I am more excited to see the kiddos and Zach open them. One year I was so excited I gave Zach his gift, but it got messed up with my gift and he ended up opening my gift (same size same paper I guess) and I have a picture of his disappointed face when he saw the gift he was giving me... ha ha

That is hilarious! That sounds like something I would do! I would be up super early Christmas morning trying to unwrap it ASAP. Too funny!

You are just too funny. You better NOT open that box before Christmas! Next week will be here before you know it and that gives you something to look forward to!!

I about laughed myself silly over this post! You and I are so much alike, it's not funny! I, too, have been known to unwrap a gift to see what it was, then wrap it, again. I know, isn't that insane??? Afterall, I am a grown woman, but the suspense just about kills me! Chris has told me many times that I'm worse than any child he's ever seen!

Now, with Chris, he'll buy something for me, usually from Jared (jewelry store), and taunt me by sitting it on the mantel for a week or two. Oh, the agony of it all!

I can hardly wait to find out what your surprise is...pray it isn't a Green Machine! :)

You are a riot!! I am so the type to unwrap and rewrap too!!

I am proud of you for holding out....cannot wait to see what it is...I guess we will all have to wait until Christmas!!

My sister and I have a history of unwrapping and then wrapping back up just to see what we got! Patience...patience...patience! I certainly don't have any!

That is hilarious! I am the exact opposite, I don't want a single clue! My husband is a horrible wrapper!!!!!!!!! All of my gifts he wrapped in kraft paper, he said he couldn't find the wrapping paper, and the tape is lifting on them all. I tried to get him to fix it last night but I guess I am going to have to do it myself...go figure!

So funny! I'm surprised your husband puts anything under the tree this early!

Oops! That was me!

LOL! Do you have some ideas what it may be??? Have you jiggled it to see if it rattles???:)

I love it! It is so hard to wait... but I'm sure it will be worth the wait- be patient (although this will make it seem like Christmas will never come!) My hubby is also a great shopper... he always surprises me with the sweetest things, and he always seems to know what I would have put on my list, had I made one. Happy Christmas!

My DH used to get me surprises, but we get what we want through out the year, so the only thing I really want is the Budwiser Xmas mug to add to my collection. Sad, isn't it. :)

Hugs,
Chris

I hate waiting. I am a opener and rewrapper too!!

Too funny! I have been known to unwrap a gift or two myself...I have it down to a science, I slice the tape with scissors or a knife so the paper doesn't tear and then re-tape in the same place! I have found an easier way to know what I am getting...look at the receipts in his wallet!:)

Jboo said...

Oh -- you are too funny!! I can't believe you called to see how it was wrapped!! My sister used to look for and find presents and then tell me what we were getting even though I said I wanted to be surprised!
Have a great day.

i do the same thing. so, Frank no longer puts mine out under the tree early. in fact, he doesn't even keep it in the house. he keeps it at his office until christmas eve.

i feel your pain...

Wendy said...

You are so funny. Even calling the company... good luck with that patience thing. ;-)

These Are The Days said...

You sneaky thing you! I'm the same way, good thing my husband is the world's biggest procrastinator, he's been known to miss the Christmas eve party because he's hunting for my gift. When I was a teen, I would unwrap and then rewrap which was good so I was prepared to make the 'pretend happy' face.

nikkicrumpet said...

You remind me of my kids!!! I bet he is just snickering because he knows it is killing you...torturing you with it under the tree is even more fun than hiding it until Christmas!

Katie said...

What could it be? What do you want it to be? I want to know too, can you do the coffe maker steam trick on it? HE HE!

Unknown said...

How fun! I am one to open and peek too!

duchess said...

You seriously called the company?
You know what happens to bad little girls who snoop - they don't get the gift. You'd better behave.;)

You crack me up. I bet the wondering is so much fun!

oh how I can relate to the quizzical persisting wondering.

One year my hubby ordered a beautiful silver jewelry box with my initials monogrammed on it. Only the home computer had my email address stored in the cookies in the stores database. So guess who got the email notification that the item had shipped? Mmm-Hmm! I waited until Dec 26 to tell him.

hee hee!
