Here it is!

You all crack me up! I have received emails and questions in the "comment" section about my "gift". I think you all are "peekers" and as anxious as me! Here it is a Canon EOS 40D...I love it! My husband also got me the "big case"(it's like a luggage piece), a great lense, two CF cards..one of them is what the national geographic uses. Well, my kids..national geographic...there is a resemblence..hee hee!

I love it! I love it! If it was softer, I would sleep with it! It has been fun to use but there is so much this camera does and I am still on the "automatic" button! I need an entire day to learn this camera...try different things..upload pictures. So slowly I am learning it! Any words of advice? I know quite a few of you out in blog land have this camera...words of wisdom please!

{First picture I took with it! Kids in their Christmas pj's...looking at lights..with their 3D glasses! I,also, used the camera with the pictures of my kids on the right column of my blog.}

I am jealous! I don't need a camera that does all sort of neat stuff though because I'd never be able to figure it out!

Love your new camera, I got one last Christmas and I'm still on automatic, does way to much for me to figure out. Just discovered it plays music, if I turn it on. I'm now trying to figure that one out.LOL Happy for you, it looks like a super duper one too.

Hugs,
Chris

You ONLY need an entire day to learn your new camera?? My new camera has been glaring at me from high on the shelf where I put it a few days ago since I can't manage to get through more than 2 pages at a time of the instruction book. I don't understand ANY of it. I'm seriously looking into a camera class at the local college. Have fun with your new camera!!! Cute picture of the kids in their pj's, by the way!

I have last years model, but I needed something to carry in my purse...that was smaller. I ended up getting a cheap digital from Target-but we use the big one at home...I had to be able to keep one on me for cute shots...
Have fun-My hub. jokes I am the only one who reads the manual through...but I can operate anything!!!
VERY Nice job, Mr. Sandy Toes!

WOOHOOO!!! Love your camera! Congrats! I love the first picture you took with it too! I'm still learning my Canon. Like you, I need a day dedicated to learning and reading my manual. I got mine in September and I'm still on the Automatic setting. LOL. I'll venture out eventually. Let me know if you learn anything and I'll be sure to do the same. :o)

Thanks for your insight on my blog, Sandy. I will call the mom tomorrow; I know in my heart that I would want someone to give me a heads up if it was my boy. Please pray that good will come out of the ugly....

Congrats on your new camera! Thanks for the comment on my blog...learn the manual settings your SLR, you will notice a world of difference...but its a long, frustrating road to figure it out:) I have some tips on my blog archive from January a year ago if it helps. I'm happy to help if you need it. Goood idea to use 3D glasses to look at Christmas lights!
