A Perfect Classroom Treat...

One thing I love to make are classroom party "treats". It doesn't have to be "hard" or time consuming...just colorful and lots of sprinkles. I first came up with this idea about two years ago after visiting Disney World. We had chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick. It was true Disney "magic".

I came home and started making chocolate covered marshmallows on curly straws like Disney. Well, now I put marshmallows on anything that will hold them. Yesterday, I stuck three marshmallows on the end of a candy cane...dipped in chocolate...tossed on the sprinkles...spritzed with white chocolate! My kids "eyes" were so big while watching I thought they may "pop" right out!

When they harden, I will put clear "wrap" around the marshmallows and tie a bow right under the marshmallows. I leave the plastic on the "hook" of the candy cane so their hands don't get sticky. It's such a fun treat for any class party. Marshmallows, chocolate, sprinkles and candy canes...a true delight for any child!

P.S. GUESS WHAT TONIGHT IS????

P.S.S. Go check out this blog! She is having a unique and wonderful giveaway celebrating her 300th post! Her blog is a true "treasure"!

Oh how cute! Little Logan would love this, because I can not keep marshmellows in the house because of him. He takes them and nukes them in the microwave and eats them. I know I don't know why either.

Oh my gosh, I love the treats! How fun! And you just HAVE to tell us how the night goes with the minivan express! I told my husband about your idea and we actually both got all choked up just thinking about how fun it would be (maybe we are both experiencing pregnancy hormones!). I want to hear all about it!

love this idea, I'm going to do this for my daughters class something to cheer me up since my christmas tree fell over last night :(. What kind of chocolate do you use?

How adorable! You are so creative. I saw a candy making kit that used thick stick pretzels as handles. You could use those for marshmallows too. I don't like marshmallows much but I do like them with pretzels. Maybe the salty-sweet combo?

The golden tickets have me curious...

This book that I'm reading is really good. You might want to get it. It's about a woman who ends up in divorce, she suffers from severe depression and forces herself to deal by traveling and learning more about herself. She's funny and witty, most of all insightful. The beginning is her in Italy (eat), next is India (pray) and I'm not sure where she finds love...I'll have to see when i get there. Takecare Minivan Express...that was way too cute.
