All I want For Valentines...

It's 6:46 am and my middle child gently informs that "they" {meaning her brother and sister} were talking {I guess they had a pow-wow without me} that if I need ideas for Valentines...they would each love a new webkin. I thanked her nicely and continued with lunches.

Sometimes I do a little toy or just some special "treats" on Valentine morning! Well, as I continued my day...checking for made beds, dirty clothes in my kids rooms. I kept coming across "webkins"...I finally thought to myself...how many webkins do my kids HAVE?

LOOK AT HERE... (not all are from us...we have very nice GRANDPARENTS, too)

Well, after I gathered them all up...{yes, momma is losing it} and took a picture {probaly some are missing}....realizing this Valentines we will not bring anymore items in with FUR, FUZZ or Glassy EYEBALLS into the house... Bless her "wishful" heart.....a chocolate candy will have to do!

What is something in your house that you have MORE of than you really WANT?

p.s. As I am writing this....my little one comes up and looks at the picture and says "Where is Molly?"...that is her webkin otter...oops, I missed one!

Once I told my friend I collected snowmen. Since then everyone I know gives me a snowman for all kinds of occasions. 10 are great but 79 are just too many. Mimi

I love to collect things! I have rabbits everywhere in the house, antique dishes, books, and Christmas ornaments.

Do I have too many yes!!! I try to get rid of some when that clean out mood hits.
:)

PS. Hope they enjoy the chocolate...

We have way too many Little Pet Shops. Kayla started collecting them last year and then Kelsie wanted in on the pet fun. Now they both have more than we can keep track of. What did they ask for for V-day gifts? More of those little things. What did we get them?!? More of those little things!

I agree...I never over indulge my kids on these little holidays...some candy and a nice card will do. We used to have too many stuffed animals...then I put a ban on any more being brought in. Since then, they started giving away some of them also.

We have about the same. It has only been this year that my daughter has not cared for one. She use to earn money for a new webkinz. They are so cute though.

my sons have more cars and trains... but they do play with them all the time, so I guess it is okay.

I feel so out of it... what is a webkin?

I am right there with you on the whole Webkins deal. Abby went through that stage a year or so ago and everytime we'd do out, she HAD to have another one. I finally put my foot down and said, "No more, little lady!"

One thing we have TOO many of is CD's that no one ever listens to...they're in the car, in the basement, EVERYWHERE! I really need to go through them and do something with them.

So, long story short, my girls will be getting chocolate, too, for Valentine's Day! :) Have a wonderful weekend!♥

That is soooo funny! We have way too many stuffed animals. I have donated alot of them to our local fire department but they are still lurking around our house!

I completely feel your pain - currently my daughter has.....28 of those little critters. Why???

At least those webkinz are super cute and the do 'babysit'...they can keep my kids occupied for hours!

Pokemon cards! We have thousands of those dang expensive cards. I won't buy any more. But when my kids have their own money they want to buy them but now I don't like them to waste their money either.

Happy Heart's Day

How funny! It's crazy the kicks and fads that kids get on. I remember I HAD to have troll dolls when I was little. I have no idea where they are all now!

Too funny! Well, I used to be an avid collector of Beanie Babies...which sort of resemble Webkins. HOwever, now I have an over abundance of hot wheels, transformers, and dinosaurs. What did I buy my little guy for Valentine's you ask...hot wheels. I'm weak, what can I say.

Hope you have a fabulous Friday!!

I look around and see that I have too much dust. I really need to dust.

I baked some heart shaped chocolate cookies with pink icing and sent those to Britnee. Phillip loves honey so I bought him a little honey bottle shaped like a bear and a couple of chocolate Balance Bars. I will tie those up and make a card saying something like, "You're my honey bear and thanks for keeping me balanced." You know, something cute. I think that's fun to do for Valentine's Day, be a little silly. I was going to get Brett some chocolate but when I went to Target yesterday, they had a box of Clementines on sale, which he loves. I bought those and will tie a bow around the box and the card may say, "You are my sunshine." That's about all I do for Valentines, just something little. My family knows that I love them EVERYDAY.

will I be publicly shunned if I ask, "What's a webkin?". I have way too many dog toys in my house. Seriously..he is just one little dog.

At our house, it's Thomas the Tank Engine toys and merchandise. We, too, have very generous relatives and family friends who love to feed into our son's Thomas mania!

We too have many, many Webkinz that live at our home! But, I think right now what we have the most of is DUST! I better get after it today!

I have way too many of Waaaaaay too many things! Scrapbooking stuff.. craft items from years of teaching preschool and Sunday School (and still doing Cub Scouts and room mom, so I hate to give it all up).. and then there are Bakugan, Webkinz and other stuffed toys, and LEGOs out the wahooo...
I need a POD...

I def have to agree with the stuffed animals and toys! I had a few of my own from yrs passed that were sitting in my closet so I had to pass them on to my stepdaughters...and now they have more than their beds can handle! So I bought the older one (14) a pair of earrings for V-day and the younger one...a tinkerbell doll! Shes not yet into jewelry..she gets it but never wears it after one or two days! Happy Valentine's Day!

I think I would have to agree with you...the stuffed animals drive me crazy and Nick has collected them all....he still likes the webkinz too. We had tons of Beanie Babies also.....I finally got rid of them....thank goodness. They practically needed their own room!

Have a Happy VDay!

And you think they have enough already? I guess the picture proves it. We don't have any webkins, but too many other stuffed animals. I refuse to buy anymore. Glad my kids haven't discovered webkins yet.

I've realized I've become a collector of vintage stained glass windows...you know the kind that were taken out of old houses. :)

So are the kids getting new webkinz? :)

My nephew is a FREAK over these things. He is 6.

I guess it's like the beanie baby phase my girls went through when they were little.

What a cute post...my daughter collected the TY babies. She is now twenty and still has them in a BIG box under her bed. Have a great valentines.

Is it ok to say books? I mean I LOVE books. Like totally and completely, but I just don't know where to put them all. They are everywhere. I need a nice bookshelf for Kaishon's room. Right now I have his books on one of those plastic storage shelves you get at Home Depot. Totally tacky...
So funny that she noticed that you missed one.
Happy Valentines Day

My kids love Webkinz too! I try to limit them, but it was all my 9 year old wanted for Christmas!

We also have a lot of Littlest Petshops and some Polly Pockets.

My kids love Webkinz... your picture totally looks like it could have been taken at our house. Courtney's friend has way over 20 and still collecting!

Well at the rate some of the ladies here collect stuff...I'd say there must be room for a few more webkins. I think Molly needs a new friend!

Interesting...I wonder if you are as sweet, loving and Christ-like as you lead us to believe? I somehow seriously doubt it.

I ran across you blog and I really like all the things you have written about. I is so up beat and when I got to this part about collecting and if you have to much, well, all I could think of was my own kids (ages 29,27 and 25) and their spouses cracking up trying to just think of what it is that I don't have to much of. Okay... Yes I admitt that I am a collector of many many thing, but I just love to see the smiles on my grandkids (ages 5,2 and 10months and 7months) faces. The two older ones love the Trolls, yes trolls and little ponies and oh I just have everything, to many little small kids chairs and so on snd so on. But the best is when one of the adult kids call and ask " mom, in you basement or gargage of many things, do you happen to have --- this or that?" Because they already know that somewhere I do and they don't have to go and spend money on it. I love when they come shopping at my house. Sorry for taking up so much space. Thanks for listening.
