My Big Ole Bag...

Miss "This Southern Girls Nest" tagged me for "What's in my Bag?". I have enjoyed seeing this on a bunch of blogs. It's fun to see what all you women are carrying around.

However, as I started to take pictures...I felt funny {almost embarrassed}. Especially when my husband saw me taking pictures of my purse and all it's contents. He now really thinks " I need to get a job."...wink!

My purse is clean but has everything but the kitchen sink. If I could fit more in this big ole"bucket" purse...I think I would!

So here we go....oh my why does this feel so personal...BECAUSE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, I have this big cosmetic bag in my purse b/c I have everything from epi-pens, eye drops, motrin, band-aids...if it's medical it just may be in there!

Yes, I have two phones in my purse..don't ask! Lysol in a miniature spray can...Yes, I am the lady at the grocery store who sprays the handle of the cart....ugh!

Bags from the cleaners containing everything I forgot to take out of my husbands pants....it's a weekly exchange b/t me and Mr. Dry Cleaner!

My Wallet...."pretty in pink"

Odds and ends...including a pencil from Ikea and one earring...

All the receipts I need to write in my checkbook...OH MY!

So now you know if you see a lady spraying her cart at the store...it just may be "Sandy Toes"!

What is in your bag????

cute purse! i love getting this little glimpse into people's personalities. the contents of a woman's purse tell you a lot about her.

i don't think i've ever met anyone who carried lysol in their purse.

The lysol thing is not a bad idea. I may have to take that habit up. You have a very cute purse. I enjoyed seeing the contents!

I think that I would have way too many odds and ends to showcase! I swear that my bag is a Mary Poppins bag - has everything in it!

I haven't seen one of these yet, I don't get around enough! It was fun looking around in your purse~!
The cosmetic bag print resembles (a little) your background print on your beautiful blog! And the earring...I often find a single one in my bag!?!?
I think your bag is super organized!

Your bag is way nicer than mine, that's for sure! I'm a bit nutsy about germs, too, and I've often thought of carrying a full-size can of Lysol with me...one of those mini cans would be ideal! :)

Hmmmm...looking at your photos reminds me that it's okay to own pretty bags and wallets! *sigh* Maybe I should make a bold move and buy something pretty even though I know it'll get dirty.

How funny! I love it!

sadly I don't have a bag...just a diaper bag with my wallet in it.. I am sure there will be a day when I have a bag again.... just not now.

The strangest thing just happened...I read my comments and there was one from "Grady", but it was signed "Sandy Toes". I know it was from you because you mentioned your daughter's red hair. Not sure what went wrong...very odd!

haha, this is great, and yeah I dont carry mini lysol cans, but I def hold on to my anti-bacterial gel from bath and body works. I cant eat without washing my hands and when your on school sometimes its hard to find a nearby sink! I call my big messy purse "The Mary Poppins bag", cause youll find everything in there! anyways, stopped by from SITS, have a nice day!

Oh your bag just looks normal to me. I try to carry everything also!♥

Well, you are the girl to be with in case of an emergency. I have gum, phone, lip gloss, glasses, gum, pen, wallet, gum.

LOL, Sandy! We have something in common. Besides the dry cleaner bag, I use those wipes on the handle of the cart. Publix puts those right by the cart as you walk in the store, and I know EXACATLY where to find them. I don't, however, use them in other stores... hmmmmmm! I do, however, travel with Wet Ones in the car. ;-)

XO,

Sheila :-)

Two phones? I am curious-one for hubby, one for...
LOL
Yours still is a lot better than mine-I can't find my phone when it rings-so I call myself from my home phone to find it...sad.

Wow -- your bag is very organized -- mine is a bit of a mess! Good idea on the Lysol. The store I got to has disinfectant wipes for that, so I use those, but may need to pick up some handy Lysol too!

Have a good day!

Love your bag and it's contents! Our grocery store has wipes at the entrance to wipe of the cart so I just keep the wipes in my car now. Where did you find the small can of lysol? I need that for travelling!

Finally someone had a piece of paper in their bag. I was so wondering if I was abnormal. Well I am abnormal but I thought everyone had a reciept rolling around somewhere.

Great looking purse too.

That's so funny! I just bought a brand-new purse two weeks ago and I had two requirements:
1) It had to be black
2) It had to be huge so that I could fit my camera, three lenses and all of my other camera equipment in it

I'm now lugging a massive purse around and taking that camera everywhere I go! :)

I read another Bag post today! Mine is packed full! Great post!

That is a VERY scary question, one which I'm not sure you really want to know the answer to!

I'm lovin' that cute little wallet though! Much cuter then my practical brown leather one.

Cute bag!!
My husband always brings Lysol wipes with him to the store to wipe down the shopping cart handle!

Joanna said...

So glad you played along! I need Lysol like that for the public bathrooms...

Oh I don't spray the carts, I have lysol or clorox wipes, lol. I don't like germs!

Oh my gosh I had no idea Lysol came so small! I need that can in my life because I am that lady too minus the Lysol can.I'll tell you a secret... my kids have never sat in a shopping cart! I was the lady with a double stroller pushing and pulling the shopping cart so my kids wouldn't touch anything in the store! thank goodness we are done with the double stroller but they know they cannot touch the shopping cart! I know freaky mom!! but gross... see why I need the lysol can now!!! shh don't tell anyone my secret! :)

I would have to clean my purse before showing it online!! It would be scary if I didn't clean it first!

Very fun to look through your bag! I am afraid mine wouldn't look that tidy....wait...right now it would cause I just bought a new one this week:)

Ah yes.. the lonely, single, unattached, looking for love in all the wrong places earring. I sometimes have several in my bag at once, but they just never get along well enough to pair up, darn it! I do love the little bitty Lysol. I have the antibac wipes and use them on the cart handles, so while you're sprayin', I'm wipin'. Considering how bad this flu season has already been, I consider it a necessity. You look pretty darned organized to me, Sandy.. I think I may be a little jealous!

You should google Anita Renfroe or look on YouTube and see if you can find her comedy clip on "purses"...I was just at a womemn's retreat and they showed the clip where she talks all about what your purse says about what kind of woman you are. Based on color, size, etc...very funny!

:-O! I'm a total Lysol-a-holic...but I have never seen the mini! *NEED* to find them!

I use Lysol in my baths, kitchen, pet areas...and when traveling my trusty Lysol always comes along to disinfect ever square inch of a hotel room/rental car/you name it.

Your back rocks!

My purse is long gone. Now I just use a Vera Bradley backpack as a diaper bag! It is FULL of stuff...yikes my post would be crazy on this! Yours was tame girl!
I use the Clorox wipes at the entrance to the commissary on base to wipe the carts and if I'm going to Target or Wolly World I use a wet wipe from the diaper bag. I never thought to use a spray Lysol. Hmmm...where did you find a mini can of it if I might ask?!?

Wendy said...

I have many of those same things...especially the receipts waiting to be written in the checkbook. sigh.

It was fun to see what you carry around with you! You asked me if I had any kids. I do - a 19 month old son. I stay at home with him and love it! But, I'm sure I'll go back to work some time in the future. My computer didn't freeze up this time, but I can barely scroll down your site. I think my computer has a hard time with blogs that have a lot of info on the sides on them. It's like it can't handle all that stuff. My husband says it's a pretty old computer and doesn't have a lot of memory.

I love your bag, and that black and white damask bag and the wallet. You have good taste. I have the dreaded epi-pen too, you never know. Does one of your kids have peanut allergies? The more people I talk to the more kids have it, what it up with it? My Drew has the allergy to peanuts it is mild but could change at any time. Of course I have not give him peanuts since he was two and that is when he had the allergy attack no throat closure bu that is scary.

I'm just glad to see "odds and ends" and receipts. I've seen too many of these bag posts lately that the purses were so clean they scared me! I did this a couple of months ago and my bag was a disgrace lol
