"Stir and Season" Saturday

"Stir and Season" Saturday

Good Morning! I am about to leave for an all day Scrapping and I am ready for a great breakfast~ French Toast Strata. I believe I received this recipe years ago in a playgroup...it is perfect with hot syrup and fresh fruit on the side~

French Toast Strata

2 loaves Italian Bread...cut into cubes

2 8oz cream cheese...cut into cubes

1 dozen eggs

2 cups milk

1/3 syrup

Cube bread, and place 1/2 of those in the bottom of 9 by 13 pan; Cube the cheese and put on top of the bread; Add the other 1/2 of bread. Beat the eggs with the milk and syrup. Pour over the bread; Cover and frig overnight!

Bake uncovered at 375 for 45 minutes the next morning. Serve with syrup.

Enjoy!

French toast is one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast! It's easy to make and if everyone isn't up at the same time I can put the egg mixture in the fridge and pull it out anytime that morning. Gotta love it......
