So this past week, I went to pick up my daughter from preschool. Her teacher will post questions she asked the kids and list the "responses" of each child at the door. This week she asked the kids...
What do you want to find in your Easter basket?
My daughters reply was...." I want a pink and purple bathing suit, new swim goggles, pink chocolate bunny."
UUUuuhhhhh! They found them!
Today, I showed my girls their Easter Dresses {they match...they always do~)....pulled out the {white} shoes.
Who made the rule that you can't wear white till after Easter?????
I think it was someone who just didn't look good in white! What do you think?

that is so funny, that they found out. I really need to get my act together to make the boys baskets huh... I am so far behind on life.
Oh no! So much for the element of surprise :)

So, I wonder...what do you do now? Mine are still clueless, and they are old enough to not be...I try with all my might to keep it going.
Have a blessed Easter!

I don't know who made the *no white shoes till Easter* rule, but I'm sure it was a Southerner:) It makes me laugh, but I can't help but follow it. lol!
Hahaha! So funny that they found them!
I def think Easter is a great time to start wearing white!=)
Hope they don't stop believing, if they still do believe! I love little white Mary Janes - love them!
kids can be so funny... and sneaky! can't wait to see some cute pics in their easter wear:)
What a funny story! This will be a good one to tease her about when she is older!
Love the dresses and the white shoes.
You have to work on hiding things better. ;)
Awe too bad! I remember the little white shoes.
Ut ohhhhh, yep they found them!!
Mine still believes at age 10!!! She had the tooth fairy visit last night and now she is quite excited about the Easter bunny that will visit...hehehe. Oh, to be so innocent again.
My son's Easter basket things are hidden waaaaaaay at the top of my husband's closet! He has been looking for them everywhere!
Stopping by from SITS to say hi and your blog is very cute!
That is so funny! When I was little I used to search for my Christmas gifts!
I too give my girls new bathing suits for Easter...I always have! Plus candy...that is an essential basket additive!
Have a great weekend!
So fun! I'll miss having an Easter basket from my mom this year.
Have a great Easter weekend!
Hugs,
Liz
Oh no!! Kayla (she will be 10 this year), told me about a month ago that she knew the Easter Bunny just wasn't real. I knew that she was too old to keep on pretending, so I gave it up and also told her that wasn't it fun to believe it was...And so I hope that this keeps her quiet, I don't want my 3 year old knowing!!
It won't be a surprise - but they will be thrilled none the less!!
Oh to be a kid again! so sweet! Happy Easter~
That is too funny. See, that's why I have to wait until the last minute sometimes. If I want anything to be a surprise, I almost have to buy it and take it home and give it right away!!
I don't know who said that white should only be worn after Easter. I think everyone should just what they want, when they want.
Hope you have a fabulous Friday!!
ooooh! I love matching dresses. And I also love white shoes. Sometimes I rebel and wear white anyway!
That is SOOO funny! It reminds me of the time my boys opened up their Christmas playmobile set, went in the guest room, set the whole thing up behind locked doors, and then pretended like nothing had happened. :)Ah - memories.
very funny, Happy Easter ")
LOL! That is kids for you!
I left mine in a Target bag-no one has noticed, and I almost forgot what was in the bag myself!
I say wear white! I am!
The Easter Bunny totally got busted yesterday at our house, too. What is UP with that!??
First time here...and I like it. :)
That is too funny about the Easter basket. At least she will enjoy what you got her. (Hee Hee) I remember sneaking around to find mine one year.
Come on over to my blog, I have a super cute Monogram Bag giveaway going on!
Happy Easter!
Kids always seem to be one step ahead of their parents, don't they? I have to admit that I was a lot like your kids when I was younger. Every year, I'd find my Christmas presents that were hidden away. Frustrated my poor mom to no end, but a kid has to do what a kid has to do!
Hope you have a blessed Easter!
That is just too funny! I have never understood the white shoes thingy either. But I do follow the rule though.
Hope you have a beautiful Easter weekend! ♥ HUGS ♥
Is still do baskets for my two and I hide things in my closet. It never fails that Britnee is always wanting to borrow something from my closet during Christmas or Easter. I really don't think she does it on purpose. She has to know something is up when I race her to the closet and say, "I'll get it!" Happy Easter!
I HATE when they find the baskets! Ughh1 My daughter almost entered the 'forbidden room" in our house looking for some ribbon - my heart skipped a beat!
Oh but what excitement to search and find the Easter baskets it must have been! (my brother and I used to do this every year!)
So cute.
Have a blessed Easter
Robin~♥
It's after MEMORIAL DAY, which is even dumber. What, no white patent shoes for spring dresses? Ridiculous.
One year my brother and I made our parents re-hide our baskets because we found them too easily.
I remember my white patten shoes. And getting a special dress, and a PURSE. I loved getting a new purse every year.
I stopped doing Easter baskets last yr. It's okay, my kids are older now. We just sat around the table and discussed GOOD FRIDAY and it was beautiful.
Happy Easter, my friend!
Very funny... mine are in a closet too I better go check to see if anyone has been searching! love Easter dress and white shoes are so cute!!
LuLu
oh man!
and about the white wearing thing, I think that rule has been done away with.
My mom always made my sister and I a new dress for Easter. It was always "thing" we did. My husband doesn't quite understand the necessity of a new outfit for Easter. :) I'll win him over one of these times.
That is super cute and my kiddos have been snopping around as well. I did tell them that mom and dad bring the basket though.
LOL I'm just impressed that you are so organized that you had their baskets ready early enough for them to find them! I was always putting them together the morning of Easter before they woke up lol.
