Bringing "Neiman Marcus" to me~

When I came home from college on holiday, I was a companion for an older lady. I traveled with her from NY to LA. When she was {home}, she would go to Saks 5th avenue and Neiman Marcus every week....sometimes we would get one of their yummy chocolate chip cookies.

Someone sent me a recipe that is suppose to be similar to their {amazing} chocolate chip cookie. I am not sure if this is the recipe BUT this recipe makes ONE GOOD chocolate chip cookie. Plus my {official} spoon licker gave it the thumbs up!!!

(Recipe may be halved):
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal**
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)

** Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.

Hey friend - I used to make that recipes years ago, then I figured it was too much work with the blender and all. BUT ... it sure is tasty! I always wondered if it was the original recipe, too!?

Happy Weekend!

Yum, enjoy!

Here is the "real" recipe posted on the Neiman Marcus website! It's a bit different than the one you just posted. But both sound really good! :D
