Perfect {Fall} Day with shopping

Yesterday, was just a beautiful Fall day...almost perfect~

My mom and I went to a quaint town that is full of shops and cute bistros. Everyone was fully decorated for Fall and it almost made you want to skip in the streets.

{The only thing I was missing was a cup of hot cider}!

We had lunch....get this...I had an aspargus sandwich! It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had...

They also had a sandwich with smoked turkey, cut up apples, cheddar cheese on thick cinnamon swirled bread. Everyone was raving about it!

It was my kind of {day}!

Do you like to go out for lunch with family or friends during the week?

I use to do this all the time with my {girlfriends} BaCk there (3 hours away). We didn't do Chick Fil A and Mcdonalds. We did the real thing...the cafes and {girly} bistros with KIDS! One time we even took 10 kids downtown to Little Italy for lunch-we had so much fun!

Oh how I miss New England in the Fall..
the colorful Autumn displays..
the bustle and laughter in the shops..
and of course the smell of apples and cinnamon everywhere..
but this Florida beach girl misses the panhandle beaches in October..
less touristy...miles of sugary white sand for burying the toes..and emerald green waters dancing in the sunlight..
♥big smiles and happy thoughts

sounds yummy. I would like to do it with friends... but my american friends don't live too close and it is pricey to go out to eat for Hungarians... I miss going out to lunch!!!!

This looks so wonderful and I would love to try an asparagus sandwich too.
I love to have lunch out with a few girlfriends, sadly this usually only happens on birthdays.

I love going out with friends or family to eat. I especially love cute little cafes and sandwich shops tucked into small down town areas or boutiques with good shopping near by. Those are the best.

Where is this beautiful town? I would love to visit it. I'm a displanted Chicagoan living outside of Cincy and I miss St. Charles, Long Grove, Door Cty, and the list is endless.

What fun - and what beautiful pictures!

I've never had an asparagus sandwich. But I do make a grilled turkey, cheddar, and thinly sliced apple sandwich on Pepridge Farm cinnamon swirl bread and it's a favorite of my girlfriends. (Not so much of my husband or children - but the ladies like it!) You should try it! :-)

Glad you're having fun with your mom.

Sounds like a wonderfully glorious day. I LOVE going out to lunch, but it doesn't happen too often. My littles nap through lunch, so....that limits things. ;D BUT when I do go to lunch we go to cute places - you have to make it worth the wait!

What a great day!

You know what I did today? I decided late after everyone had already eaten that I wanted to go to lunch so I just took myself out and thoroughly enjoyed it! I had a cup of butternut squash soup, a salad with roasted chicken, and a big ole wonderful plate of, drum roll, please... sweet potato fries! Oh, it was divine!

I'm glad you had fun with your mom and kids and had a delicious sandwich. A friend of mine used to serve asparagus sandwiches for luncheons, and they are wonderful.

XO,

Sheila :-)

I am so jealous of the beautiful town decorated for fall. It is still warm here in California & doesn't feel like fall at all! Leaves haven't even started dropping yet *sigh*. Glad you had a fun fall day!

ahhh yes! visiting a quaint, my kind of town is a rare treat since I live in a desert/cowboy type community. Fish out of water. BUT, I went to Yountville CA and my best friend from college was only an hour away. SO, we had some lovely lunches and wonderful coffee. This town looks darling. LOVE small town fall decor!!!
