"Will I be next?"

{***UPDATE: My poor little guy is REALLY sick...he doesn't want to watch a thing!}

****
Being a mom...means "reading through the lines"..."filtering through it all"...okay...KNOWING more than they do!

My daughter has been sick all week. For the first time, EVER, I allowed a small dvd player in her room to watch "movies". I am trying to keep her a bit isolated..as I tell her "from the main population of the house"! She is very social so in midst of it....it's "hard" for her!

Well, let's just face it..the others are a bit "jealous" of their sister's DVD player in her room. It's been getting more obvious each day. I am that type of mother who pampers her sick little chickadees....nothing short from a bell to ring (I had one when I was a sick kid) to meals in bed on a tray.

I love it and it's what I am meant to do-

{Many times sick as an adult, I wished my mom was there!...there is nothing better}

My son in the car today said "He MAY not feel well." I went on explaining he had no fever and I think he fine.

Three minutes later, he asks "If I get sick, will I be next for the DVD player in my room?"

WOW! I want you to come over when I'm sick!!! I could use some pampering. :) We've been so extremely fortunate that we haven't had any major illnesses come through our house.

Awwwwww!

You've reminded me of being sick as a kid, crashed out in my parents bed watching tv and coloring with the crayons and brand new coloring book mom bought me on the way home from the dr. Her bringing me chicken noodle soup in bed.

I popped in from SITS and I hope your little one feels better soon!

When one of ours calls "unfair!" we remind them that we're the most unfair parents in the whole world which usually brings a smile and giggle.

Being sick in college was the worst. Can you imagine ET running at the tinkle of a bell?

My kids would be all over this treat. I think when you're sick, it's so nice to have those little things like the bell and dvd. Hope they feel better soon.

I hope your little one is much better soon, Ms. Toe. You are a good mom! Oh, and BTW, I am not really excercising with burlap. That was a little joke. ;-) LOL!

That is our house too!
When one is sick, they get to sleep in my room, watching movies on the DVD player, a tray bring meals...
It cracks me up how they all "want to be sick" just for the special treatment!

I hope she feels better soon! I know that when the kids are sick they are isolated to their rooms as well.

Too smart your son is!

Oh, I am so sorry that your daughter has been sick, and now your son too! :( BUT how good to have such a caring mother to watch over them! We had a "sick week" last week, and it hit our son especially bad. I have never, ever seen anyone that sick before, and it broke my heart! :(

I sure hope your sweeties feel better soon!
