Got the Nerve and Hung them....

wHeN i was first married...I was really into the primitive look- Not country but truly 1780 primitive! I loved when Country Living would hang child "chairs" on the big, wooden pegs in a rustic, salt box home.

oVeR the years, I have collected different child chairs...some are very old and some just ReAlLy look old! I have them scattered around the house {in hopes that no little child's bottom sits on them}.

I finally got the nerve and HUNG them in the dining room! I love it! Mr. Sandy Toes saw it last night and just shook his head with no words. After these many years, nothing would surprise him what I hang on the wall~

Do you have anything hanging on your wall other than the usual picture and frame?

Oh my -- those look so cute! You have the touch! I don't have anything out of the ordinary hanging, but will give it some thought now that I saw how cute yours turned out!

Very cute! I am really bad to buy something to hang on the wall and sit it near where I want to hang it and never get around to having Dr. Hubby drill the holes. We are in New Orleans this week!

LOVE them! I have white frames of all sizes with no pictures in them...I always get odd questions about them...but I don't care...I LOVE THEM...that is all that matters right!? Your idea is fabulous!

I didn't know you could hang chairs on the wall.

I have a collection of chairs and I would have NEVER thought to hang them on the wall but I LOVE them! I am considering hanging an old ladder I found at the flea market on my wall....but I have to figure out how to do it by myself. I need to do it and then have my husband shake his head...not ask him to help. LOL

I love the chairs and I have often admired that look too! I'm going to have to say I haven't been too creative with my walls all I can think of are the usual suspects. pictures, plates, clocks, wreaths
...sigh

Thanks for visiting my blog! I hope you'll come again and be a follower - Dena

I love it! I have nothing creative, just pictures, clocks and a cross wall full of crosses.

I think they look so cute hanging and you probably notice them more now. You know me - windows, shutters, a footboard chalkboard - all hanging in my house.

I love this. A friend from St. Augustine has chairs on the wall on a new (old) sun porch in a 1700's house. The Quakers did this. I think they started the tradition, and it's centuries old. Love it!

I can't think of anything unusual on my wall unless it would be something like the vintage ships' life rings I use. I have a new one, too, that I use as a mirror.

XO,

Sheila :-)

I love hanging stuff on the walls. I love, love, love the chairs. I posted once about a woman who has chairs hung in her entry hall with "No One Left Behind" as the saying to go with them. So perfect.
I love your arrangement here - right up my alley - It looks fab!
I also have barnwood shutters hanging inside my house and an old window - two of my favorite things.

Hi! New to your blog, and so glad I stumbled upon it. I absolutely love the chairs on your wall!!

We do have some out of the ordinary things hanging on our family room walls. We have 3 deer heads, a bear rug, and a bobcat. My husband is a hunter and my family room definitely shows it! :0
