Sorry..I prefer the warmth of my electric blanket to the crush of crazed credit card carrying consumers!I prefer the old nostalgic Christmases instead of the Thanksgiving day holiday being ruined with blatant commercials depicting this fanatic ritual. of Holiday trees etc etc..
Oh my! You are one brave lady! ;o) I hope you have a great day and find the deals of a lifetime! :o) I have a couple of clients to visit with and then home for our Friday Night Family Pizza Night! :o) Love, Trish
No shopping for me, either. I prefer to decorate my home for Christmas instead. It's something I've done every year for as long as I can remember. Some years, if I feel up to it, I may go out later in the day, but never up-at-the-crack-of-dawn shopping.
I love the idea of getting deals and getting the shopping finished all at once. Hate the idea of getting up early to fight loads of frenzied shoppers. I think they would have to pay me a lot to go out early on that day to shop.
YES, my husband looks forward to this even more than I do. We left at 7 a.m. (not too crazy and got home around 1 p.m. and then went back out at 3:00 for another hour.
I goofed though. Found a bargain on a real nice pet bed at Macy's for our dog and didn't get it because it was so big I didn't want to lug it around the mall and wanted to check out the ones at PetSmart. Dummy me, I should have just bought it and if I found something else I liked better, I could have just returned it. I jut didn't think of that soon enough. So then after checking PetSmart and Pet Supplies Plus, I still wanted the one I saw at Macy's sow went back for it. Unfortunately, it was only on sale until noon--AAARGH!
I'm late visiting from SITS, but wanted to say hello. I had to venture to Target today, but I don't normally shop on Black Friday unless it's online. I don't do well with crowds. Ha!
I NEVER do the black friday thing-ever-I won't wake up for anything! However, my mom and I hit 12 Oaks for lunch, shopping and manicures today for her birthday while D. watched the kids...did you find any good deals? My mom found a cast iron cooking pot (?) first thing, and since it was her birthday, I offered to carry it...UGH! :)
I had to work today, but my Mom was around town delving into the craziness that is Black Friday. I saw her going off to the Shoe Department as I headed for lunch! Haha. Hope you didn't hurt yourself out there and that you had fun.
