Christmas Tour of My Home

Well, for the first time in a while, I finally remembered a "Mr. Linky" I wanted to take part in! The "Nester" is hosting a Christmas Tour of Homes today.
Christmas Tour of Homes with The Nester

Such a wonderful way to look at different decorating for the Christmas season.

I must be honest that I have kept it VeRy simple this year. Just enjoying the season and the "reason" for this time of the year. My favorite things about Christmas are the smells...like the heat coming off a peppermint mocha. Or the "ooohhhss and ahhhs" coming from my children as they look at lights. The gathering of my family reading our Advent devotions and talking about the promises of our Lord and Saviour.

But, with these special memories are the ways we fix our homes and decorate for the season. It makes it special and just a bit more cozy....

So here are few pictures to share with you...

Wishing you a very merry liTTle Christmas!

P.S. The Nester is right...not everything has to be perfect. Even Christmas card pictures...after about an hour of trying to get one good shot of my 3 kids...I gave up and picked some beach pictures from the summer!

I am learning that important lesson!

Your home is just beautiful. May many wonderful Christmas memories be made within its walls.

Our home is having an old fashioned handmade Christmas this year. I hope you will stop by.

I HEART your decorations! They're warm and inviting! I love that swan. I'm curious about your dining room chandelier- I'm thinking about getting one similar in style.

I love the pineapple in the wreath. and that picture is priceless. You should use that one for the Christmas cards, or at least keep that one to use as a "bargaining chip" in her later life! lol

i have actually used the aweful ones from the hour long sitting for the xmas pose. they outgrow it and learn to sit still and all look at the camera at the same time when they get older... but in the meantime, candy helps!! :)

Your decorations look quite elaborate! I cut back some this year, skipped putting up my little village and didn't bring out ALL my stuff to put around the house.

The candy cane sign is my favorite! I am stopping in from Nester's Place. To see my tour click on the 'Christmas 2009' Tag on in the left sidebar!
