Me and the Man in Brown

It was a while ago and my mom was visiting...she was sitting at my island. I had a clear shot to my front door windows and I saw the man in brown.

Who is that? Mr. UPS guy!

I saw him walking up the sidewalk and knew what he was carrying BUT I didn't want him to ring the doorbell b/c my kids would know. So I kinda of jerked my hand up and down and caught his attention...then in our "sign" language...it's a silent hand motions that only UPS guys know.

I shook my head to not have him ring the doorbell and then gave him a "thumbs" up and we exchanged silent smiles b/c he knew! My mother was sitting there watching this and after the whole {entire} scene was over. She looks at me and says...

"What is going on?" I answered "What do you mean?...oh, I will tell you later".

She looks at me and seriously she says "Really...what is going on?" I laughed at first then realized my silent jumping, thumbs up, smiles and big "OK's" did look odd! I finally explained to her that I knew what the package was and I didn't want him to ring the bell or my kids would know....

I still laugh about that night but secretly I do get all "giddy" when the UPS truck pulls up...NOT b/c of the driver but he holds a special package from books (oh, I love Amazon) to spring jackets from Lands End...it's always fun to open!

Do you have any feelings for the UPS guy...oops I mean truck ..I mean packages? hee hee!

One of my college friends ended up marrying the UPS guy who delivered to her office. Now THAT'S a relationship with a UPS guy! LOL! My UPS guys get a workout from me...they wave to me when they're driving around town. My husband does not seem to appreciate this. ;)

I can honestly say-AND I am putting this out there... I am having a major love affair with a UPS guy- He is HOTTT! AND... is my husband who just happens to work for UPS! - He doesn't drive truck or deliver packages but once a year. He is in management-I do love that one time a year when he helps at the holdays and puts the browns on...Something about that look just does something for me!
Such a cute story! I'll have to share it with my husband!

Yes, Yes, Yes! Except when he tells my husband it is because of me he has a job. He is a dork. (the UPS man, well so is Papa) Anyway it is exciting stuff. And, don't even get me started on Land's End!

I hate it when they ring the bell too-My dog starts going crazy, and somehow the man in brown seems to come EXACTLY when the little one is napping! Every time!

There's a UPS dad whose daughter goes to our local school. He always seems to have on those brown shorts (very nice legs) and he always carried his little girl's backpack for her. It is the sweetest scene :)

Who doesn't get excited about a package? (What a letdown, though, when you discover that it's a golf club your husband ordered!) My son thinks there's a package for him on every UPS truck we see!
