The ONLY one in the world...

Yesterday, was my birthday! It was fairly quiet....breakfast in bed, the kids decorated the kitchen even had "pin" the tail on the donkey. Mr. Sandy Toes got to enjoy that when he came home for lunch. Going out for dinner and a bouquet of flowers ended it off. My youngest was VERY excited to tell EVERYONE it was my birthday. She told the waiter "It is my mom's birthday so everyone had to wear their fancy shoes tonight."

In midst, of the celebration, my middle child felt terrible yesterday morning. I thought it may be strep so I took her to the doctors. While waiting, my youngest told the nurse it was my birthday, she looked at me and said "Ugh, what a way to spend a birthday...they get worse and worse as you get older."

At first, I must agree going to the pediatrics is not on my top ten but how blessed I am on this 38th birthday to be surrounded by three great kids. It gets crazy here but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. Sometimes it feels like I am "herding" sheep or should have a roll of paper towel attached to my waste.

But, I have 3 kids who were so excited for my birthday...like I was the only one in the world having one!

My birthdays have changed but for the better...there is nothing sweeter than a five year old coming in your room sleepy before bed and kisses you on the cheek to say her one "last"{after many} "happy birthday's" for the day!

On a side note, my birthday gift is coming today! let you know tomorrow....

I turned 38 recently.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday. Such sweet children.

What an unkind remark for the nurse to make. Children are wonderful fun. With them it is always easier to enjoy the little moments.

I was sent over by Today's Creative Blog to check out your craftyness - and I do appreciate craftyness! But what I really love about your blog is that you show your love of motherhood. Thanks for sharing that with us, too.
