Two weeks from now...

I will be entering my children's school holding the hand of my youngest child. I will walk her up to her classroom door. Kisses and hugs and watch her enter her class.

As I turn around, there will not be any hand to hold as I leave. Probaly at that realization that my hand is "empty" after 11 years...I will need to find the quickest exit before my "emotions" take hold.

Eleven years of changing diapers, picking up legos, coloring, cutting up food, filling sippy cups, afternoon naps, strollers and car seats, wiping tears and giving hugs, morning snacks, Nick Jr., preschool and tying shoes, grocery shopping with the BIG car karts and picking up the free sugar cookie...

This precious stage that is pure exhausting but keeps your "heart" full of love is over for me.
I will get in my car and not know what to do...I don't have a seat to buckle or a juice box to pass back.

Just me ......

finding a "purpose" in this "new" role of mine

(with a carmel latte in my hand).

Plan something fun for yourself that day. Something that you haven't been able to do with a little one to plan around. Go shopping, have lunch with a friend, get your hair done and stay for a pedicure.

Celebrate - you've put in 11 long years and you deserve it!

Oh, I know the feeling! For me it lasted about a month...then I realized how much I could get done and how quickly! And there is nothing like going through the carpool line to pick everyone up and the endless chatter that lasts until bedtime:)

It will definitely be a big change for you but after some time, I think you will love it!
