Loving Laundry b/c I love the person who wears it-

My laundry takes over my house. I constantly am doing laundry. When the wash machine or dryer is not going...the house seems dauntingly quiet. It starts in the morning and sometimes till late at night. I was out of town for a week while my family stayed here. I think they may have gone out and bought more towels b/c I swear I have triple the amount.

But, in midst of the piles of laundry, I am "trying" to be thankful for each pile. Because, behind each dirty towel and dirty pair of sweaty soccer socks is a "person" who owns them that I love. After spending, a week with a love one in the hospital you quickly realize how precious life is. So I decided when I came home I would try to love that "laundry" b/c I love the person who wears it.

Well, enough about laundry unless you have a helpful tip to share. How about apple crisp? Who needs to do laundry when you can bake apple crisp! It's a new recipe...pretty good!

My son helped me cut the apples. I think my favorite part about making apple crisp is not eating it but how wonderful it smells in my house.

Here you go...it's a keeper of a recipe and super easy! I am sure you have most of the ingredients in your cupboard already-

Apple Crisp

In a large bowl , combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 2t. baking powder,1/2 t. salt and cinnamon, 1/2 cup milk, 4 chopped apples (peeled and cored). Mix well and pour in 8 inch square baking dish.

In a large saucepan, combine 1.5 cups of water, 1/2 cup sugar and brown sugar, 1T of butter, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg. Bring to a boil and stir till sugars dissolve. Pour over top of mixture in baking dish and bake at 400 for 45 minutes! Enjoy!
