The First 15 minutes home...

As it gets closer to the time when my kids come home from school, I try to get things {ready}. I lay out there snack. Turn on the lights where they do homework. Pour the glass of milk....etc. etc.

The moment the door opens...it's like a tornado has swept through my home. I get~

"few hello's...let me tell you what happened in school...you have to sign this and this...I need a Hobbit beard by tomorrow morning...will you drive for the field trip?".

Backpacks are flying....water bottles are rolling down the hallway...coats are flipped upside down...

I am just standing there...trying to take it all in.

Deep down...I love it! I could do without the water bottles rolling around...

They are so cute. Isn't it a joy to have all that chaos though? The chaos of children : ) It is one of my favorite things! Great post.

Ahhh, the after school tornado! My favorite part is when everyone wants to talk to you at the same time. That's when my brain goes into overload!

There will come a time when you'll miss all of that chaos. I look at Brittany's room right now...things are tossed on the floor, stuff is all over her dresser, shoes are scattered about. However, when she leaves for college again next week, I'm going to wish it all back...and her, too!

Joy IS abundant
when we see adjust
our lens and look
beyond the chaos!
Even with a 12 and
15 year old, the same
tide seems to rush in
when the school bus
pulls up, each day.
Love it!

I love it too...but some days are just hard. In the end, it's so worth it though!
