Works For Me Wednesday-Christmas Garage Sales in August

In August... I went to a garage sale in our neighborhood. It was almost 90 and humid! So I wasn't thinking "Christmas". However, this sale had TONS AND TONS of Christmas stuff. She had bags stuffed with ornaments for a only $1! I picked up a few and didn't even know what was in the bags. One was a bag full of angels....well, I came across it while decorating my "stairs" and used some..what fun! They are very festive. At night, with the lights and gold ribbon...they just "glimmer". From now on, garage sales WORK FOR ME!

I'm a garage sale junkie. I've found some amazing stuff, like a standup freezer for $50. There wasn't a thing wrong with it. Congratulations on your good buys!

I think when you find something for free or at such a good deal like you did it makes you treasure your finds even more.

We do the pickle. My kids get to play it the night we decorate our tree. The get so excited for it every year

How neat! So, when you opened up the bags of goodies from that yard sale months ago it was like a 'pre-Christmas' pressie for yourself!
Love that!

I know exactly what you mean! Now I am kicking myself that I didn't buy MORE over the summer when I wasn't in the mood...because now I have to pay full price or wait until the bargains come back after Christmas!
