Went through my Starbucks (notice how I say "my")...the line was "CrAzy" long. So I ran in. As I was waiting, I saw a lady take a picture of a pastry on her plate and then took a picture of her coffee. The moment I saw that...I knew.
She is a blogger!
Only bloggers take pictures of the most CRAZY things....yes, we take pictures of our kids, our vacations, First day of this or first day of that, all holidays and parties BUT we are known to take pictures of...
our buckets of laundry and our mops or library videos...
our dinners...cooked or not cooked yet...or signs of places where we do eat!
our dirty dishes, dirty socks and flowers on the island...
our coffee mugs and our Saturday donuts...
our children sleeping or faking....
our bare toes or our kids feet formed in a circle....
If there is a post somewhere in that {picture} we shoot it!
The lady almost seemed embarrassed. I reassured her I {understood} but she was new to the blogging world. If she keeps blogging, she will realize that it gets worse and worse...soon she will not care who is looking. Her family soon will yell out- "Not another picture for your blog!" but she will keep clicking and capturing her life's moments even when it's just her morning cup of coffee.

I love it. Yes my fam laughs at all the crazy stuff I photograph...but they don't ask anymore. They know what it's for! LOL
I'm with Kay..
they no longer ask..
they just say
"got your cameras?
charged and ready?"
if I'm not clicking..
they ask if I'm feeling okay?
love it!!
warmest sandy hugs..
laughing smiles too!

Hey I came over to say hi since I got your comment about your shabby apple give-away. I was supposed to be doing one too last week but haven't done it yet! I'm planning on posting it tomorrow but I'm sad it looks like I'm too late for yours, because I'd love something from that place! ANyway, thanks for saying hi!!
My family is always going - not again!
When we went to South Carolina a few years ago, I saw a roach crawling across the parking lot. I'd never seen one before, so I was trying to get a shot of it. They were so embarrassed!
I actually took a picture of my food inside Hometown Buffet and the buffet for my blog. Oh, and the cereal and ice cream aisle at Giant Eagle too!
Oh i know the feeling...I just need to do a few new posts heheheeheh have a wonderful day..
That's so funny...I do that all the time! You just can't pass up good blogging material, you know? :)
You are so right...only other bloggers understand the value of a photo that captures the moment. Even though my photography skills are lacking, I look at experiences and thoughts as possibilities for a post.
my family used to be upset... now they ask DID YOU GET A PIC OF ....
they indulge me and after 5 years of blogging they know when ever anything crazy or different happens it is what they call BLOG FODDER! love this post!
Even though I've been blogging for awhile now, I am still embarrassed to pull my camera or iPhone out. I wanted to take a picture of our Valentine's dinner but was too self conscious (it was a very nice restaurant). Now I wish I would have just took the picture!
Love this post! It is so true, and my husband was just shaking his head last night as I snapped a pic of my cappuccino on our date. The immediate family is always horrified that they may end on my blog, but they also get very excited when I have a high hit day. They comment that i take a lot of pictures of food lately, and that is because they are always ducking when I try to get shots of them now.
So true, I take pictures of everything. After all, what is a blog without wonderful pictures?
