"Tie it In a Knot"

The past week, I have "dibbled" in this..."dabbled" in that..a lot of different projects from making a stain glass window out of tissue paper, flat stanley project to bows for my daughter's hair. I am always talking about "ribbon" ...one thing I have loved since my daughter was just weeks old was bows in her hair. I couldn't wait till her hair was long enough for a bow. Through the years, I have bought my share of bows...big ones, little ones, ones that shimmer and shine.

One day, I was at a kid's boutique looking at some great "bows". Then it was like a "lightbulb" moment..why am I am buying these when I could make them. One of the moms at school, saw my daughter wearing one of the bows I made and asked if I could make her one. I reassured her that she could probaly do it with her handy dandy glue gun. It is so easy!

From buttons to even scrapbook "products"...you can make an awesome bow...Guess what? I don't even tie a bow...it's pieces glues together. So don't feel weary if you can't tie that "bow"..if you can loop a piece of fabric? You can do it!

I love the bows, especially with the buttons on them! I wish my girls would still wear hair bows, but, oh no, they're "too old for THAT". Makes me a little sad. :(

You are so creative! I didn't get this gene from anyone in my family (if anyone in my family has it). I love bows and so does Thing 4, not Thing 3 though because that would mean I would have to actually brush her hair! :) Ang

I wish, I wish, I wish I had someone to put bows in!!! The boys are NOT having that, and Lucy will eat them, so I guess I will make them for my neighbor's daughters...Hey! That could be a Christmas present!!! Thank YOU!!!

Cute, CUTE bows...we had enough to fill a store when Lexi would wear bows. Now she will still wear a ribbon in her hair and even cute scrunchies but sadly, no more bows.... :(

I love ribbons too, strange that Sophia never wears them. I guess that can be my weekend project. I LOVE your daughters curly, red, hair.

Sandy Toes, way too cute. I need to start doing that for my little girl. I just need to get everything organized in my spare bedroom. But that takes time, energy, money, and supplies. I need to look around for some ideas. Take care and I love your blog.

These are sooo cute! Miss Missy would love some of these. I keep saying that I am going to try my hand at making them but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe I will.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The battery had fallen out of her nose BEFORE we went to the doctor. She found it in her room. Kids!

My daughter is 7 and at one time had probably 50 bows... she has about 3 today because we lost them everywhere! I used to make them too, especially after I bought a bunch of expensive ones and they disappeared! The button bows are so cute... I wonder if she could make it through an entire day of school with one in? Worth a try!
