There is something about "thrift" shopping that gives me goosebumps all over...finding that "treasure" in midst of all the piles of junk. I was walking through and there on the second shelf sitting back I saw it....
$1.50!!!!!!!!!!I was going to paint it but I like it "white". I found this great plant that needs low light and low water..my perfect kind!
Also, as I pulled this off the shelf I also found the neatest plate..I am collecting white plates to do a collection on one of my walls. 
It was perfect...it was dreamy....it made me smile!

We have pitiful thrift shops here, but I LOVE a good garage sale! It's so funny, because I used to be SUCH a garage sale snob! I wouldn't go to one to save my life- lol! Well, I am addicted now because you never know what treasures are waiting.:) LOVE your finds!! Lori

That planter cost you only $1.50!!! Now, that's my kind of bargain! I've been to a thrift shop only a few times and found a couple of items...it was so exciting! Felt like I'd won the lotto! :) I really must go back...SOON!

I could have wrote this post myself. Okay did you get that plant at Meijer I just picked up the same one.. Love it. We are to much a like, I really don't like the mall all that well. I find better stuff at all these thrift stores.

Love your finds. And YES I am a junk girl junkie! Flea markets, junk stores, Goodwill, Salvation Army... I hit them all. Sometimes the antique malls where people have booths. Found neat deals there too; just have to do a bit more 'digging'.

Oh I am all about the hunt! We had GREAT thrift shops in Colorado, but where I live now, not so much. But that doesn't stop me from trying! I am so glad you had some great retail therapy and it made you SMILE. I'm wishing you a FABULOUS weekend because it is what you deserve!
That is a great urn. I am impressed--I feel like our Goodwill is overpriced. What kind of plant is that? Sounds like something I (might) could keep alive!!

Wow 47 comments!! This is a great find...very beautiful. My fiance and the girls were actually at a thrift store today while I was at work. He found some computer speakers and a cordless phone...it's funny the things women buy at thrift stores and the things men buy! How different! Although one time he came home with a great shelf for my cherised teddies!

being an antique dealer's daughter I spent too much time having to wait while my parents hunted for treasures- so I avoid them, and markets, and anything else where there is old stuff!!
I do like to thrift shop when I have the time...it is really exciting finding a treasure in the midst of all the "junk"! I LOVE your two buys! That urn is beautiful! Can't wait to see what you do with all of your white plates!
