Valentine "Day" Morning

There is nothing more {swEEter} than hot, pink pancakes served on the morning of Valentines. I have been making these before I had kids. We have added the mini-chocolate chips since the kids were born!

It's the perfect way to say "Happy Valentines" to the ones you love{with a dab of syrup and butter}!

What special ways do you say "I love You!" on Valentines?

CUTE! I am going to try those for sure! I have made heart shaped pancakes, but not red ones! The boys will love them :) Sometimes we get special donuts too.

OK...I need to hop on the treadmill ASAP! Talk about calorie overload...but, oh, so worth it! I may have to make those for my family!

I like to write love letters to my husband and girls telling them how much they mean to me. I usually give them some candy to go along with it.

Happy Thursday to ya!♥

We have a waffle maker that is heart shaped-and well used! It will be out on V-day, for sure...
My husband and I are doing something different this year. We are taking the week (starting this Friday-) and doing little things each day for each other for the week.(Cards, little gifts) The boys take up a lot of our time and energy, so I say, this holiday is for us! (The boys are not left out, though-I got them a car video, and am working on making a gift basket for all three to share-car related, of course!)

What a wonderful way to start a special day. When my children were younger I made heart shaped pancakes but never thought to turn them pink or red! I need to think of something clever to send my son in college. I'm all set with my daughter and husband.

Have a great day!

I am going to have to try these next weekend! My husband loves pancakes and chocolate so I know I can't go wrong!
We like to spend the day/evening enjoying each other's company, whether it be watching a movie or a nice dinner; just being together!

Wow -- those look so yummy!!! We're BIG fans of choc chip pancakes, but don't have a fancy heart thingy :). I think these might have to be a new tradition in our house!

Oh this is a great idea. I have a friend to takes the chance to make special days for each holiday.... planning fun food and activities for her family. And, I've been thinking of ways to make this Valentine's Day fun for my family. This will now be added to the list. Thanks for the idea!!

Very cute idea! I think I have those same cookie cutters, too.

I usually make either heart-shaped pancakes or use my heart-shaped waffle maker. But I've never tinted them pink--I'm definitely doing that this year!!

I usually make heart shaped pancakes too but I think this year I will add a little red to the mix.

So is it just red food coloring added to the mix or what?

OK, so tell me...do you use the cookie cutters to cut out the pancakes? Or can you make them in the cutters?

Very cute! I've done heart-shaped mini pizzas! :) I may do it again this year.

But this post reminds me...when I was a kid, my mother used to make pancakes in the shape of letters and would spell out our names. I haven't thought of that in many years! What a great memory!
