My Home...Room By Room

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice....

Today, this post I am featuring my girl's room. My girl's rooms are full of stuff....I am always organizing...binning....tossing stuff...sometimes I wonder how it all "grows" more and more. I didn't even touch the whole "American Girl" area...that is a post all by "itself"...

There is something "magical" with my girls rooms...sometimes I will sit in their "tiny" chairs and watch them play. They both are full of imagination...one day their bedrooms are classrooms with them being the "teacher" and the next day it's a little "boutique" shop with fake money and old grocery bags full of stuff for shopping.

They have even been known to have a lemonade stand at the entrance of their room with "real" lemonade {water from the bathroom}.

Sometimes, after the girls are sleeping...I will sneak into their rooms and fix up their dollhouses. No, I am not "playing"...I am organizing...smile~

My girls and their spots...

One day...I will have to do a post on the nightstand drawers...it's amazing what I find....salt and pepper shakers...my jewerly....my lotion...calulators...q-tips...tons of papers...even old receipts...I think I have a couple "garbage" pickers on my hands~

So cute! I remember my room as a little girl. It was such a sanctuary and place of "make believe." I set up shop in my room too once and sold my clothes. It was also a library at one time too!

Isn't it the truth? I find all kinds of junk (I mean treasures) in my daughter's drawers, and bags, and little hidey places. She amazes me at how she plays with every little thing she finds.
Love your girls room & have a great Tuesday.

Salt and pepper shakers? That's hilarious! My boys like to hoard the packaging that their toys come in - so they can draw pictures from the designs. I find little bits everywhere and it drives me nuts.
I love the room!

I can so relate with you on this one. My two girls share a room as well and I find the craziest things on their nightstand. I can never keep their room completely clean and organized. They are pack rats.

Those rooms are so sweet! Did you get that flower light from IKEA? Britnee and I saw those there. She will be living off-campus in the Fall and we are going to get those flowers to put in her room. Even though she's 20, she is still very girly. We also found her a desk chair at IKEA. Love IKEA.

Their rooms are so sweet! I love the doll house! I always wanted one like that when I was a little girl but my bigger girls don't seem very interested in them. Maybe Emma will be my doll house girl-- and I will TOTALLY being playing in it!

When my daughter pilfered a bunch of our stuff during a special little phase of her life...we called her our little racoon.

Sounds like you have two little animals.

I have a room just like that in my house! Lots of everything, everywhere! We are lucky enough to also have a playroom where the classroom and kitchen and dollhouse reside. I spend lots of time organizing it! ;)
