Amused At Differences

I am always "amused" at the differences between men and women. We see one thing and they see something TOTALLY different!

I have been working on my backyard "garden"...it's an area off my patio with a lot of plants and just stuff! Last year, my friend and I put a little pond in and I have been planting plants all Spring to make it look like an "English Garden" type thingy!

{Don't you love my wording}

Yesterday, I cleaned out my pond and threw in some bleach which in turn made "bubbles". One of the pool guys looked at it and asked if that was some type of "whirlpool". Whirlpool??? Ahh...maybe for your feet!

This morning, I brought my husband out to look at all I have done with the path and plants...he looks at it and says " Why is that path so small?"..."Is it for a midget or an elf?" NO! It's just for looks...you are not exercising on it...it's just a little pebble path throughout the garden.

AHHAAAaaahhhh! Anyhow..here are some pictures of my "bubble whirlpool..oops I mean pond" and my midget garden pathway...enjoy...imagine outside the "box", pretty please!

The garden is charming.

So is the pool. We had one in our last house and it was my children’s childhood too. We all still miss it very much. Enjoy!

I think your garden is gorgeous! It looks so serene. Your pond incident reminded me of the time my husband used soap to clean our water fountain. The little gargoyle spit out soap suds for hours. It was too funny!

I'm sorry to say, but men just don't get it! I live with one, too! :) I happen to think your garden, path, and pond look beautiful! I could sit out there all day long without a care in the world!

Your garden is lovely. You should tell your husband that the midgit path is so that when you retreat down it to soak your feet in the bubbling pond, you will not be bothered by giants and ogres!

What is with them?? My husband thought my stones were too far apart for my path. Dude, if you're going from point A to point B, you don't have to cut through the flower bed. Geez.

I love this garden and all of your nice little touches! I learned a while back not to ask hubby's opinion on some things. I had made a quilt that came out pretty sharp and he commented about maybe the colors not being right - this from a man who is color challenged to begin with.

In matters of our design work on anything, we need to the opinion of other women!

You did a wonderful job! Enjoy sitting amongst your creation all summer long!

Gorgeous! Men need to understand it's all about how pretty it looks, not how it's going to be used!
