What Makes Me Think of Summer~

We have 7 more days of school left. I have been on a flurry to get that last bit of organization...cleaning done. I know than less than 7 days I will spend almost every hour at the pool or wherever else my kids and I dream of. Plus we have 3 weeks of guests staying with us right after school gets out...I feel like a kid in a candy shop. I am more excited than the kids!

I can't wait for late summer nights....drips of popsicles (outside, please)...smell of suntan lotion and chlorine in the hair...cold pasta salads and strawberry lemonade...bathing suit strap "lines"....bare feet....trips to my parents lake cottage in Michigan~ aahhh...

What makes you think of summer days?

P.S. Look who came for a swim!

Lucky you! I'm so jealous of your pool! :) We bought a blow up wading pool...at least it's deep enough and big enough for two adults to lie down in. LOL!

I love summer! The girls and I always head to Mayfield Dairy, which is a short drive from here, and we get huge ice cream cones for $1.50! SOOO GOOD!

Just the slower pace of life. I am laughing at Becky's comment.

I love a great summer breeze blowing through my windows at night.

It sounds like a fun summer there. I love to work in the garden early in the summer days and enjoy the leisure of summer days.
I have been working on organizing and uncluttering. This summer I want to work on my sewing room in the basement. It needs some brightening up.
We will be done with our homeschooling this Friday. YEAH!!

Enjoy!!

We're ready for summer. Sunscreen and wet bathing suits and towels will be the norm around here too.

Watching my husband's ballteam, on a hot, sticky night. Listening to the ocean waves crash while I sleep on the screened-in porch of a beach house. After a day on the beach, sleeping on cool sheets while listening to those waves. The smell of freshly mown grass.
