cook or sleep

It's been a hard week for my family. The only thing I seem to be able to muster up the energy for is to either crawl in my bed or cook. Either one is not too good! Today I made homemade banana bread...then mac and cheese (homemade)...then my grandmother's carmel sour cream cake.

Total comfort food...that I should NOT use to comfort!

Just crazy!

Today, I was reminded that about 2 weeks ago, I bought boxwoods for my porch. So I finally put down the spatula and flour and pruned them. I hope to have them full and round.

When I use to live in VA...everyone had boxwoods on their porch. I don't have the {greenest} thumb but I am hoping these will grow!

Boy, I am having trouble getting stuff done at home. At least you're cooking yummy food! We've been so busy these past few weeks that it's hard to get anything done. Love that boxwood. I need to get some!

It sure sounds like some delicious food you are cooking even with no energy! We just planted three boxwoods in one of our front beds yesterday.

I am so sorry you are having a hard week-You are in my prayers...

So where is the recipe for the carmel sour cream cake??? That sounds like the kind of comfort I love! ;0)

I have an empty pot on my porch-I wonder if I could do this, and it would live...I am going to try that, because I adore boxwoods!!!

If you need anything-encouragement, a smile-I am here!! Hope this week goes better-

For so little energy you sure did a lot of yummy cooking and baking! I need reminders to plant my flowers too ~ the boxwoods look good already, can't wait to see when they fill out more!
