This Christmas, with every other American out there, I received an i-phone. I must say I love it...for many, many reasons! First, I love that I can check my email anytime....anywhere! I can get the weather in color from hour to hour to a 10 day forecast. I can check my blog to see if any of you have left any comments. I can read the news with a touch of my little finger.
I love, love the voice mail system. I can pick and choose what voice mails- I want to listen, too! I love that!
But, with all it's bells and whistles, there is also a downfall to these smart phones. I was sitting in the carpool line and a teacher came up to get my # to call my kids. The moment, he walked up--I was thinking "no no, not yet! I can't get my card b/c I am on a hard level of Angry Birds and I have already used my Mighty Bird".
Yes, I (a person who really doesn't like games, ever) is addicted to Angry Birds. Not only that, a friend told me yesterday about this app called "Fish Farm"- I am now feeding "fake" fish and taping on my i-phone like it's a tank. OH MY WORD!
If you don't have a smart phone, you are shaking your head right now! It sounds crazy and it is! But, it just happens, one day you are just a normal person and then the next day- you are flicking red birds across a screen and feeding fake fish-fake food(and you are not even with your kids!)!
Soon, there will be classes that will start like this at 6:00p.m. on Monday nights all over America-
"Hello, my name is Sandy Toes and I am addicted to my iphone!"
