planning.

Slowly, I have been getting ready for our "school year". Being a teacher by trade, I love textbooks, curriculum, big pads of lined paper and apple stickers. It has been quite fun setting things up. I have been trying to use the furniture we already have- took some from the craft room...a little from the playroom and making do!
I must say the blogging world has been a huge encouragement on this new journey.

Some of my favorites who have inspired and encouraged...

Life in Grace
Mt. Hope
Simple Homeschool
Home Sweet Home
Sprittbee

I have already started to plan our first day! I have a long way to go but I am starting to get excited! Here are a few pictures...I am sure it will be different next week!

You're going to have a blast! I think sometimes it's overwhelming because they're our own and we really don't want to mess up with them! Your classroom looks fantastic- can't wait to read your stories! :)

Homeschooling is an amazing experience. We are only moving into year number two, but I don't regret a moment of it. I too have my credentials and I had to do a little adjusting. It isn't like school in the way that it runs. I thought we'd have a certain time to do certain things, but he'd fly through his work. Then we were on to the next, then the next, and the day was done in a short period of time. I still have a schedule, but it's not so strictly time oriented. I'm going to check out the other sites that you posted. Thanks!

Lots of luck to you, Sandy!! You're bringing back LOTS of happy memories of when I taught 2nd and 3rd grade! Enjoy every second of this journey~

Your school room looks amazing. I love the start of a new year, a fresh beginning. I love the flexibility of homeschooling. Somedays you can work ahead as things flow smoothly and other days you can take a break when things get tough.

This year it will be just my son and I. Our daughter is starting her first semester of college.
