Cookie Exchange and Knitting

It's Christmas around here...that is for sure!

My daughter has been cooking Christmas cookies today. She has a cookie exchange party tomorrow night.  She is so excited and wanted to make the cookies all by herself. Chopping up candy canes and using my mixer...loving every minute of it!

She cooks like her mother.  The kitchen is a mess but she cleans it up pretty well, too!

I went to a friend's house and learned how to KNIT!  I am the person who cannot sew on a button but I did it...barely but I am half way done with my first project!  My friends were so patient with me and fixed my mistakes every time (I could almost say every minute).  We knit till midnight...I think they are all "SUPER" knitters and could just keep going!  The only problem is that I can't talk and knit...maybe that will come with practice.  But, every time I talked...I messed up!
We were talking about "Downtown Abbey" and every time I commented I think I did a double loop!
It was fun to learn something new! This morning, my kids came in and wanted to see what I made.  I think they thought I would come home with a "sweater" but it was a dishcloth (1/2 way done).  I was pretty pleased with it and they tried to be...lol!

Your daughter's cookies look delicious! Welcome to knitting - it starts with a dishcloth, but quickly becomes something you can't remember not doing!
