"Stir And Season"Saturday
Years ago, I was at a sweet tea room called Miss Molly's with a girlfriend. We had the most delightful "jello" dessert called Strawberry Pretzel salad.
I told her how I would love this recipe and she said she had it! Her family makes it all the time. Well, since then I have made it for so many things from holidays, brunches to even this week for a Preschool Mom's Get-Together!
It is so yummy! You will not be disappointed!
1st layer
2 3/4 cups of crushed pretzels
1/2 cup of melted butter
2 T of sugar
Mix; press on the bottom of a 13 by 9 pan; Bake at 350 for 10 minutes; then let cool completely!!!
2nd Layer
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup of sugar
Beat together!
Add a large cool whip and mix all together! When the pretzel crust is cool put this on top of pretzels!
3rd layer
2 small strawberry jellos
2 cups of boiling water
1 pint of frozen strawberries (thawed)
Mix the jello and water and dissolve; add strawberries; carefully pour over the other 2 layers and put in frig for at least 3-4 hours! Enjoy!

We make that salad too, only we use raspberries instead of strawberries. It's one of my favorites!

Yum! I might make this for Christmas day.

My Mom made this same recipe frequently - (it was Dad's favorite) except she used raspberry jello and it was called Raspberry Ribbon Dessert. I'll have to try this strawberry version.
I've heard of this, but never made it . So now I will copy and paste this in my Blog recipe folder. Thank you, it looks good.
Hugs,
Chris

I have heard of something like this but have never made it...I am putting it on my to try things and the red is perfect for this time of year.
I see in you hot chocolate photos below all your waechtersbach dishes...I have lots of those. When living in Germany we only lived like less than an hour from the tiny town that holds their facotory and I got to go a few times. I love whenever I see those. :-)
I LOVE this recipe! It's one of my favorites....I only hate that the pretzels will get soggy if you make it too far ahead..
Makes me hungry for it again....
It looks lovely! Yum!
