My youngest was in the bath tub in the morning and I was cleaning the sinks..organizing hair bows....wiping off toothpaste (you know all that "mommy" stuff we do). I peeked over at my daughter who was giggling "quietly" and notice she had something under the water.
It was a 1/2 {full} bottle of Johnson body wash that had now been emptied into the water. Bubbles were forming everywhere and pure delight came out from every giggle.
I had my camera right there and instead of giving one of my MOMMY lectures. I just slid right down on the floor and leaned over and listened to all the bubbles popping and bumping together. Yes, bubbles do make noise!
I watched and "clicked" as she played. We didn't exchange many words but sweet "smiles"!

aww, what a pain to lose good shampoo but on the other hand, what a fun mommy/daughter moment!
That is a cute story. Sometimes it's nice to just take a deep breath and enjoy the moment.
I agree with Tanielle... I'm glad you just enjoyed the moment! They grow up so fast!
Robin~♥
Too funny. This has happened here many times. I heard those bubbles before. My kids loved those disney bath toys... I want that YES! They say over and over...lol. *sigh* they can barely fit in the tub as it is for all the toys.
Oh no...that's funny! Adorable photos.
Rub a dub dub, memories in the tub.
How sweet and bubbly good.
That is so awesome that you just enjoyed the moment with her instead of getting upset. Go YOU!! These are the moments that will be remembered forever!
By the way, did you see my last post? If not check it out, it was very difficult to write but it should be worth it. If you feel led to do so, post about it so that we can get the word out so that this ministry I am starting will speak to many.
Love and Prayers,
Tim
Cute pictures! My daughter loves to play around with the shampoo and make bubbles. You were smart to grab your camera! So cute!!!
Jen
How sweet! I guess there was really no use in getting upset. It looks like it was worth it!
that is so cute and glad you were in a good mood to make it a good mood for both of you! Love when that happens and the mommy lecture is put on the back burner until later :)
oh... good for you good for you good for you!!! bubbles are one of my favorite things... and seven sometimes when i am doing the darn dishes the sound of them make me smile!
so glad you grabbed that moment with your daughter... those giggles when they have just amused themselves are so priceless!!
... even if it was the whole fresh new bottle of shampoo!!!
Kids and bubbles...the perfect combination! You'll be so glad, one day, that you let your daughter enjoy...REALLY enjoy her bubble bath, even if it did take nearly an entire bottle of shampoo to achieve it! Those kinds of moments are priceless and forever treasured!
What a perfect bath!! So glad you enjoyed the bubbles with her. Great pictures.♥
Precious sweet time in the bubbles!! SO gald you had your camera! Enjoy this beautiful day!
Hugs,
Susan
Just love those moments! bubbles always brings kids to smiles and laughs!

I think half a bottle of shampoo is worth the giggles. Good for you for rolling with the flow...wish I did all the time. Cute spa pics too.
Oh - isn't that just the best noise...giggling of our little girls. Too funny! :)
Too cute! Stopping by from SITS. I love your blog title and quote!
How sweet! We have a few of those moments over here, too. I learned to move the expensive shampoo and bubble bath...out of my Husbands reach! He pours as much as the kids to into a bath for them!
Very sweet post! You choose the best over the urgent!Way to go mom! Enjoy these moments they go by way too fast.
Great moment you captured. Great too that you didn't lose the moment with a "lecture" like I probably would have done back when the kids were little.
The body wash can be replaced, that priceless moment cannot...
Too funny! I have similar pictures!
That is so sweet! Sometimes we Mom's want to lecture, but it's better to enjoy the moment like you did. Fun photos!
Janet
I had a good friend tell me that right before you get frustrated, grab your camera. It really does help!
Very sweet. Yes, bubbles can actually be loud sometimes. Hoping you finally got it all "cleaned up"
How cute are though pictures... It doesn't pay to get upset... Just enjoy every moment that you can with them... They grow up and leave so fast... I mss mine being small...
HUGS,
Donna
Precious memories for both of you. What sweet pictures!
Precious memories for both of you. What sweet pictures!
Cute story! There's nothing better than a great bubble bath! Sounds like you two had a memory making moment!!
You can't have too many bubbles.... LOL
Good for you for finding the preciousness in the moment instead of the savings down the drain--literally! So sweet! It is the little moments always!!!
This happens often at our house. I normally get mad about the wasting more then smiling about the sweet moment and smiles. Thanks for taking me back to reality and reminding me that kids will be kids and things happen. I should just let somethings like this slide.
How fun!! Sometimes it is better to find humor in things and enjoy the moment!!
So cute. A good mommy moment. :)
Its the small things! Cute pictures!
Oh, this is so cute! Nothing like a bubble bath!
XO,
Sheila :-)
This is sweet. Reminds me of my Britnee when she was little. I remember all of the little characters around and in the tub. The McDonald's Happy Meals toys usually ended up being tub toys. Thanks for sharing your special moment and reminding me of mine.
What a great mom you are to see the joy in this! And wonderful photos.
What a great post and a good lesson for Mom's to just sit back and enjoy! I would have also had to take a deep breath and reconsider lecuring on "wasting"! The next time my boys do this I will watch them enjoy the bubbles!
By the way your daughter has gorgeous hair. Love the color and love the curl!
oh my kids do this so often - I keep saying - do you know how expensive that soap is??
Oh what a fun time! I miss those days. My daughter use to make coffee for me in her tea set and we would spend more time playing in the tub (she inside, me outside) than washing. :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Oh man, I hate when that happens (all the time) but they sure do love it! Great pics, she's a cutie. Now will you come to my house and do all those 'mommy's things'? It seems the tooth paste mess is NEVER ENDING at my house. :)
What a fun time! So glad you were able to giggle right along and share smile and snap some wonderful pics of the bubbley goodness!!!
Have a fantastic rest of your day hun!
Adorable pictures:)
Wib.
Hi! Just stopped by your blog from Rose's!! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post. Our children so often make us stop and take notice of things that as adults we just take for granted. Absolutey beautiful.
On another note, I also know about doing those "mommy duties" when you can...sometimes I feel like I am always doing 7 things at once!! Ha!
Have a beautiful day.
Jamie
What a fun memory this will be!
You know, I imagine that God has some of those same kinds of moments with us.. dontcha think? Your sweet girl will learn the value of a dollar soon enough.. but finding joy in bubbles, and sharing sweet smiles with mom while she's in the bath? That will be fleeting.. so glad you "danced in the moment"...
Bubbles do put you in a happy mood :)
Sometimes those uh-oh moments can be the best ones! I am so glad to see that you enjoyed the moment instead of stressing over it!
That was so nice of you not to scold her!
oh so cute! We get a lot of that.. I don't get too mad, but once it was a bottle of my expensive organic stuff... at least they smelled really good and organic! ;) Jen
That IS fun. :)
That is a precious moment!! Aren't you glad that you camera was close....it looked like she had so much fun:)
Lisa
Kudos to you for capturing the moment! lol : )
Ok Friend, I'm giving you the Mommy Award today.... what a great way to respond! Especially when you were in the middle of cleaning up! Great blessing that was to the two of you!!!
Sweet. I cannot even usually take a bath by myself as our son fills up the tub for my bath with his toys............he turned 6 today. Wow, our miracle is growing up and he was so sweet and gracious and thankful for his presents that I could just tear up. :)
Sometimes the best mommy moments are the ones where we forget to be a mommy and just share in the delight!
Sweet, sweet story!
A much better way to handle things. She won't be little for very long and you're gonna miss her so much...Mimi
oooh thats lovely, what magic times!!
I still lose bottles of shampoo that way! I heard giggles like that today from my son - not over a bath though, pure joy from talking to his BFF from where we had just moved from on his brother's cell phone - those are cherished moments!
Such a sweet post. I still love bubbles! Your little girl is adorable!
I can relate to that!!!! Sometimes it IS better to relax and enjoy such a moment...
Pure joy and sweetness...love it!!
What a great story and it looks like a lot of fun, too!
what a sweet moment =) i'm glad you both got to enjoy it!
Gotta love those moments!
Jamie :)
Happy SITS day. :)
Bubbles really do make sounds. Love it. :))
Sometimes you just have to laugh! It was probably worth £1.20 of shampoo!
What a great moment that you captured here! See, if you didn't blog, you probably wouldn't have enjoyed this moment like you did. Love that you made the choice to make the most of it and enjoy it instead of overreacting and making a big unpleasant moment out of it.
Happy SITS day!
Too precious!
Happy SITS day!
What a beautiful memory!
What a sweet little moment!
Sometimes it's just way more fun to join into whatever they've gotten into instead of getting all worked up about it. They are only little once, right? Great blog...I am following you now!
Cute! My eldest used to make it a habit of dumping the shampoo into her bath. Every.single.time.
that is priceless!!!!!! i know i forget to let go of those kinds of things from time to time......it is ok to use the entire bottle for bubbles!!!!!! :0)
very cute story!!!!
A cute kid can get away with anything- even dumping a practically new bottle of shampoo into the tub...
Lol!
My daughter has done this before too. Unfortunately, I didn't handle it as nicely as you did. Some things just aren't worth getting upset over. What a special moment! ~Lanie
Precious! I love it when moms can step out of mommy mode and just enjoy the moment. PRICELESS!
SO precious photos!!
LOVE them.
xo
Love that you let her be in her moment....
Sometimes those moments hit us where we know we should be repremanding, but that moment becomes much more and touches our hearts in just the right way. Happy SITS day!
I have definitely found my share of empty shampoo bottles in the tub, but they are only small for a little while.
Happy SITS Day!
Great picture moment! Happy SITS day!
Those are the best mommy moments: the ones when you let go and become a child with your child! Happy SITS day!
oh how fun...
Ok, so you yell at soccer games...but you're a fun mommy!!!!

Awww...adorable! Oh, and way to keep your cool, and recognize the opportunity for a great moment with your little one.
yay bubbles! you are such an awesome mom!!!
Sometimes, these moments are the ones that stick...what a wonderful memory. Happy SITS Day!
That must have made a lot of bubbles! Adorable pictures, though.
good for you to groove into the moment and not do the mommy lecture about wasting money etc... I bet years later she'll say... remember when... and my mom was really cool about it.
Love the bubbles and love the photos!!
Happy SITS day!
Aw! How sweet! Way to live in the moment! :)
You are an awesome mom! I'd have yelled. :)
Alex
Good call on making that a special moment instead of a lecture one! Sometimes we get so caught up in the "go go go!" of our lives that we forget that the simplest moments are like little gifts :)
That actually happened to me last night; my husband and I were cooking dinner for a dinner party we were having and I tasked him with making the "no-bake jello cheesecake" dessert thinking that he'd whip that out and be out of my hair in the kitchen so I could finish cooking. Good gosh did that man take his time! I was almost about to snap at him when I realized that he was taking his time because he was putting so much care into his creation. It was so cute!! I couldn't kick him out then :) I just had to remind myself that he could take as much time as he wanted to perfect his delicious masterpiece!
Awww...
It's always good to look at life through the eyes of a child.
Ha Ha! What a cute story! Makes me think of cute moments with my mom.
Yours Truly,
Lady Lex

So sweet! That's when you do your "growing" as a mom, when you don't get upset over those things.
@cheapchichome.blogspot.com
Oh, what a sweet story! It's so great when you capture little moments.
I might have been irritated until I thought, well, at least she is super clean:)
Precious.
It is so important to just enjoy the moment sometimes. These are the moments to remember... :-)
