"Home is the smell of a big breakfast cooking"

My son's appetite has REALLY increased! Sometimes it feels like a never-ending black hole especially at breakfast. It has come to the point that cereals and waffles are JUST not enough! So a little more planning needs to go into it.

He wants the REAL stuff...a true farmer's breakfast...eggs, bacon and toast! Even after all this...he still begs me to stop somewhere on the way to school. I always joke with him that he is like a "grandpa" with his slippers and pipe. Now he needs his 3 course breakfast...hoping for homemade biscuits on the side.

Breakfast was my easiest meal of the day but not so much anymore. I can't hit that snooze button like I use to!

He's a growing boy! Sometimes my stomach feels like a black hole and I could eat forever, ha!

Yep, with a growing boy I think it will just get worse. I LOVE breakfast foods too so I understand the eggs, bacon, biscuits thing....lol

Hope you have a great day.♥

Just wait! You'll be buying even more food before you know it. I have 3 teens. Amazing how much they eat.

I grew up calling these a Toad in a Hole :)

Growing kids are crazy with all of the food it takes to buy for them - mine are also constantly hungry!

Can you imagine THREE of these boys??? That is our joke here-the boys' stomachs are black holes-they eat dinner, and then again before bed they are just starving!!!
Same thing at breakfast {three or four scrambled eggs for the two older boys cereal for the little one}, they eat the apple out of their lunch box on the WAY TO school-Crazy...

My 12 year old is the same way! my hubby keeps teasing me that I'm going to have to get a second job just to buy groceries when all 3 of our boys are teenagers!

and so it has started! the growing and the eating! i wish i could tell you i know when it ends... the other day we went to taco bell and my son saw the pic of a big burrito ans said- i'll have that! and when it was in front of him he said- i didn't know it came with two tacos! i asked him, laughingly, if he was afraid he wouldn't be able to finish it all, and he gave me the "are you kidding me" look!
happy cooking!

I used to make the egg in a hole in toast for a kid I babysat every morning!

I wish I could eat like I was young again. Well, I could, but then I wouldn't get through the door...

Boys tend to do that as they get bigger and bigger. I don't know where they put it all!

Wow! I keep waiting for our son to start eating like this, but so far it really hasn't happened! I know it will, though! You are such a fantastic mom to make such wonderful breakfasts for him! :)

I hope you have a great Friday, and that your Easter is a wonderful one! :)
