"It's in the air"

Summer is right around the corner and I can't wait....
We made our first "official" strawberry shortcake and the smell of sun tan lotion was in the air this weekend. I am ready for slower days, lots of swimming and popsicle eating!

I still want to clean from top to bottom all my kids rooms before school ends. When I clean my daughter's room especially her drawers...she will NOT let me throw out anything. Everything is a "treasure" to her!

We have to make our "What do We Want To Do this Summer..." poster! I will share it with you once it's done! I have to pull out the basket of towels and organize all the pool toys and hose down all the chairs! Looking forward to a great summer....

What are some of the things you have to do to get ready for "summer vacation"???

We made strawberry shortcake this weekend as well. It was delicious (and of course, allergy friendly)! My daughter even took one in her lunch today.

I need to get a summer "schedule" together so that we're not all floundering around wasting time and getting nothing done.

I chuckled when I read this because in Ashburn you have to ask yourself, "what do you want to do this summer?" back in January or else you will miss sign-up for everything......vacation bible school, basketball camp, horseback riding camp, swim team. I have coordinated camps for four kids and have three trips planned and then it will be time for back-to-school. I wish I was only thinking about it now.

I've been getting the Christmas and birthday gifts for family together so we can take them back to the States with us. And mercy, there's just not room on what we would like to do in too short of a time there. We'll be resting up and playing with friends back here; I have some projects I really want to complete.

We homeschool and right now our priority is finishing up. I have also been clearing out the books we no longer need, books to sell, etc.

I have a long list of painting on my summer to do list.
