Wreath cookies

Today, we made MY favorite cookie....I remember my grandmother making these cookies. I was only allowed two. As my girls and I were making the cookies, I remember vividly my grandmother's house...her little dog would run around with his winter boots to go out. I loved that dog...we would actually play hide and seek...I would count then hide and he would come and get me.

My grandmother also made very yummy "thumbprints" with jam.

These cookies are easy and fun for the kids!

Christmas Wreaths

.5 cups butter

3 cups mini marshmallows

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. green food color

4 cups of corn flakes

red hot candies

Melt butter, add marshmallows, stirring until all marshmallows are melted. Add extracts and food coloring; stir until it is a uniform green color. When mixture is smooth, add corn flakes; mix well but gently so as not to crush the cornflakes. Form into wreath shaped on wax paper and decorated with red cinnamon candies. Let cool.

Tell me your favorite Christmas cookies in the comment section.

These are one of my favorites, but my crazy husband doesn't like them. :(
So I don't make them often, cause I really don't need to eat them!

I think these would be my favorite too Debbie. I remember making them as a kid too. Such great memories. I want to make them for my girls and start a tradition with them. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas!
