thankful.

...thankful for my daughter's curly red hair, the freckles planted on my youngest daughter's nose, catching my son looking at his "arms/muscles" in the mirror.

...thankful that I will sit across the table from my mom, my son will shoot glass bottles with his Papa and Mr. Sandy Toes will think of creative ways to cook the turkey hours before the meal is on the table.

...thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who supplies our needs daily with food, a job, a home, a Christian school, a church.

...thankful for friends who call me and love me, for the man who serves me coffee at Starbucks and my sushi man at the grocery store, thankful for the post man who hands me cards from friends and magazines to snuggle up and read by our fire.

A tradition everyone should do!

My family has a lot of traditions but my favorite tradition is at Thanksgiving. We started this tradition before my oldest could eat "solids". Every year at Thanksgiving we have a runner on our table and everyone writes "one" thing they are thankful for.

Today, I set my Thanksgiving table and sat down and read all the the things written on that 11 year old runner. It does have some spots and I can't iron it but it is more precious to me than any perfect "setting". It is a reminder of many memories and a constant assurance that I have so much to be thankful.

Every year that my family sits down to write what they are thankful for is a blessing in itself. We are together...everyone! This Fall, my mother had a heart attack and she is doing great. Thankfully she will be here(Lord willing) this Thursday. I am so thankful for this...

{I guess you know what I am writing this year!}

p.s. I have Christmas music on. I vow to myself to never listen to it before Thanksgiving but I am enjoying it!

Barely will get the turkey on the table...

What a fun day yesterday being the the featured blogger on SITS. I am so excited to go back and visit all of you who commented on my blog.

Of course, I must tell you ONE thing...

Yesterday, was my big day of cooking...family getting in from out of state...etc. etc.

HOWEVER,

I was on my blog...reading comments! WHEN I should of been making strawberry pretzel salad. Last night, I realized not much had been accomplished! So I guess it's an early morning today but it

Was all Worth It!

May your Thanksgiving be full of love and laughter sprinkled with a {touch}of thankfulness! Hope your bellies are full and you eat lots and lots of leftovers!

P.S. My "little" Indians are ready for Thanksgiving...
